Only in the last 100 odd years has our problem with food, in the western world, changed from having too little food available to us, to having way too much. As…

Saw This On Facebook & Thought I'd Share...........
Such an inspirational poem from an old, but seemingly very wise old man. "When an old man died in the geriatric ward of a nursing home in an Australian country town, it was believed that he had nothing left of any value. Later, when the nurses were going through his meager possessions, They found this poem. Its quality and…

An Emotional Menopause..........
Hi there!!! 50 - 51 in June. Have lost 22lbs since end of October 2012, so weight loss has been slow but steady. What Does Your Exercise Regime Look Like????
Hi everyone!!! I have a set of exercise specially geared to my needs to help strengthen legs (tight adductors esp on left) & core, so there are a lot of stretching, strength & sedentary(ish) exercises combined with a little cardio. I do warm up each session then alternate between Session A & Session B - usually hitting the…

Resurrected My HRM....Now I Need Help!
Bought a heart rate monitor (Garmin Forerunner 110) 3 years ago; I used it a few times then stowed it away in the drawer. Fast forward to this week when my trainer asked if I had one, so I dragged it back out again. I used it yesterday & it uploaded to my computer with no problem. Today I wore it while I walked to the gym,…

Your Take On PB2
I regularly stir peanut butter or protein powder into Greek yoghurt for a hi-protein snack of yumminess, but PB makes the cals rocket. How would PB2 be as a substitute? Greek yoghurt needs "something" & I'm trying to boost protein intake without too many extra cals. Thanks. Sue  xxx

Are You Having Christmas Off?
Am tempted not to log food on Christmas Day, Boxing Day & New Year's Day. Partly cos I'll be busy & also cos I'd rather spend valuable time with family rather than be sat at the computer trying to remember every little morsel that went into my mouth. I think a couple of days off the food-logging wagon doesn't do anybody…
