So proud of my daughter!
So today my daughter completed her 10th parkrun (5K) the conditions were not the best, icy wind about 3 degrees and lots of standing water and 6" mud in places. She managed to get a new PB too! I am so proud of her I had to share!!! Weseal (DD1) is the one on the right playing up to the camera - oh by the way she will be…

First NSV in a long time and some progress.
I admit I have been struggling with motivation for the last 6 months nothing I do has really been working. Life keeps getting in the way of where I want to be as it tends to when you have a young family. But I am almost at my 2nd MFP birthday, I haven't lost as much as lots of people here, or as fast. But I have still lost…

totally stoked! unexpected NSV!
My Boss was away last week, so he just sent me a text to congratulate me on completing my walking half marathon in 3 hours and 13 minutes. He was quite impressed with 15min miles. Today we were chatting and I showed him my splits and he said - wow you were doing 12.5-13 min for first 9 miles, I can't go that fast or as…

Just wondered if anyone else was taking part in the race on Sunday? It would be nice to know if other MFP'ers were there.

What to do?
I have been on MFP just over a year and the weightloss has been ok but I have got stuck. I had myself set at sendatary level as i do spend a fair amount of time sitting a computer but I do also spend a few hours on my feet so I logged my speed walking and cycling. And as I had 80+ lbs to loose set my goals at -2lb/week…

Uk wii fitters?
Just in case anyone is interested I noticed jjb sports near me are selling off their wii weights. For those that don't know, these are 1 kg hand weights the controllers fit in to to give you a harder work out. Think they are about £7 I paid about ten a year ago.

A Day of NVS's!!!
I did another power walk 5K at parkrun and did it in 41.20 knocking 30 seconds off my personal best. I no longer have any knickers in my house that are bigger than a size 14-16, most are size 14. Bought a new pair of trousers for doing the 5k as it was way too cold this morning doing it in shorts (-1!!!!) there was still…

P90x newbie - needs advice.
Hi everyone, I have finally bought the set and I know I have some shopping to do. So recommendations on a pull up bar - do they have different weight limits? Hubby is just less than 300 lb so I'd rather get one that we can both use if he decides to join me. It will need to be easy to put away/get out as there is only door…

NSV - Dress & Shoes!
I am and probably always will be a tom-boy at heart. I don't dress up for work unless I have a meeting to go to as I change into scrubs when I get there and they are really not flattering to many. [ i have gone from XL scrubs to L I could go to M tops but the trousers are still a little too tight] This weekend I had a big…

SV & a Personal Challenge
It might seem a silly thing but it was starting to bug me, I broke into onderland just after easter, but it has taken until this week for me to not creep back over the 200 by the end of the day! I know you shouldn't weigh yourself too often but it is nice to know that even at the end of the day when I am going to be my…
