Depends on the context and what they're complimenting. If I'm at the gym and throw up a nice snatch and random gym stranger says, "hey...nice one"...that's all good. If I'm just walking down the street and some rando says, "hey...nice shirt" or something like that, I probably would think..."ok, thanks random weirdo."0

It doesn't happen very often but, when it does, I just say Thank You.0

First reaction is to blush. Doesn't matter if it's a man or a woman giving the compliment.
Then I say Thank You.0 -
i look behind me to see who they are talking to0

If it isn't creepy, I smile and say "Thank you, have a wonderful day."
If it's something creepy, I ignore it and move on with my life.0 -
By asking what his ulterior motive is, and running away... hoping he doesn't follow me.0

Still waiting on that luxury.0

I love a compliment, and I would try to find something nice to say back. Unless it was a creepy compliment...then I would run away0

This on the inside, and maybe the outside, and say 'thank you'.0 -
I like it. I'm one of those who randomly do it.0

I have only got "Excuse me for staring, you're beautiful" I was so shocked/scared/perplexed, that all I said was "ok" and turned down a different isle. I didn't really take that as a compliment.0

I get them from both sexes and it surprises every time. So when a stranger comes up to me and compliments me I just smile and say thank you.0

those are the best compliments!

Individually from someone I have no problem, but if someone mentions in a group setting, then I'm a little embarrassed. My boss decided to mention my weight loss to everyone in a meeting. Everyone was clapping, but I didn't like the attention because I'm not at my goal weight. When I hit my goal then I will accept all the applaud0

I like it and I say "thank you."0

I get shy but say thank you and quickly leave LOL0

I smile and say, "Thank you." If there's something about them I find appealing (appearance, nails, clothes, hair, etc) I return the compliment. If not, then I just thank them and move on...0

I say thanks and secretly think they are full of $***0

Totally appreciated! I got a random compliment today (for wearing a colorful dress on a very gloomy day) and it made me so happy0

When I see a lady/guy lift an impressive weight amount or good form, I go out of my way to say "Impressive weight or Excellent Form". I usually get a HUGE smile, because all of us are trying to improve and it makes us feel great when someone notices. I always reply Thank you, I appreciate that. When I get a compliment.0

I'll let you know if it ever happens :-)0

It does not happen too often! Recently, though, my wife and I were doing our indoor 2-miles at a mall at about 9:30 AM We started walking down a staircase and two ladies [in their mid-late 30s?] leaned over the bannister and one of them called our, "You two are Sooo cute!" We thanked her but were really amused by it [Not at all sure what being cute means other than over age 50 and able to walk and stand !!]0

^ This. Except, because I have the adaptive social skills of a neanderthal, I usually just say, "What?", and then proceed to frown rather intensely. Me accepting a compliment is like the process of getting a machine to accept a wrinkly dollar note, and both parties just end up frustrated. And I blush within 0.0005737721 seconds flat, so that certainly helps.0 -
Usually say, "Hey, thanks!" and give a big grin. Unless I'm with my sister and they tell me, "Ohh, I thought YOU were the younger sister." Then I just roll my eyes, hahah.0

Depends. If they complement my body, I ignore them. If they complement my clothes, I say thank you and feel stylish.0

I say Thank you!!0
