On keto diet last 2 months. Dropped 63lbs then jumped 8 in last week. But it looks like it was almost all muscle I added which was odd. Anyone else jump like this?

I don't have experience with keto, but I do know that it's nearly impossible to gain 8 actual pounds (of fat or muscle) in one week. It's probably water retention or some keto thing that I don't have the proper info on. But I wouldn't worry too much about it!

If you lost a pound a day over the last 2 months (without having started out being super morbidly obese), I'm surprised you're still standing/alive, let alone thinking you can add / have added muscle or be able to exercise.

And no, you can't add 8 lb of muscle in 1 week.
It'd be hard to add 8 lb of anything but water weight in 1 week, and even that would be hard. You'd have to be eating 4000 calories over maintenance every day to gain 8 lb of flesh.

I eat 6 meals a day that come to about 3300 a day. Did not lose any strength up top with cutting weight. Lost a lot on sqauts though. Followed diet exactly and 3 hours working out a day. It was easy drop the weight.

What is making you assuming you somehow added 8 lbs of muscle in 1 week?
Before and after pics of one week. I am prescribed testosterone by doctor so that is a game changer. Also prescribed an anti estrogen because my estrogen was high with my first labs.

Well if you actually lost 63 pounds in two months, I guess an 8 lb. gain in one week would make about as much sense-lol. I assume you're serious?

Or are you trying to sell the whatever diet, that most on this board don't go for?

The difference I see is a bit of intramuscular water retention, and a bit of water gain over a week when you come off keto is not unheard of.

I never came off it though. Still tested positive each day on strips. Same food everyday.

Did you change your workout in the past week or so? That can also cause water retention in the muscle.

When you add in That "x" factor it's no longer just diet.....

What is your sodium totals for the day? Maybe you have been eating more things with sodium and it is causing water retention? Also, if you have been pushing your muscles, they will retain fluid as they heal themselves .... Also, it could be a combo of all ... Gaining muscle, water retention from sodium and for muscle "healing" (not sure proper term). Congrats on your loss so far :)

He's thinking he gained 8 lbs of muscle in one week, which isn't possible. I noted reasons that could be related to his gain, based on my friends experiences. Messing with hormones - as he did with the t3 - can mess you up also.
