Nowhere near Starbucks or any local coffee shops, but for a quick pinch it totally beats that nasty brown liquid from Tim Horton's that everyone and their dog raves about.
Starbucks coffee is crap in England, way too weak, and they never make it hot enough. Probably scared they'll get sued! Costa and Caffe Nero are much better. I've never tried McDonald's coffee.
Personally I don't like McDonald's so I wouldn't dream of eating there (and I've never taken my kids there) but if it fits into your calories, then why not?0 -
I used to work there and although each store is different and is run by different managers, I still wouldn't recommend people to eat there...0

So interesting story, this is my personal stab at pseudoscience. I did a test once, I compared eating a single meal at Mcdonalds vs eating a single meal at home. I match to the best of my ability all macro and even micro nutrients. Again, this is fast food so I had to go simply by their numbers. I repeated this test for 3 months. Saturday I would eat 2 egg mcmuffins and 2 hash browns and an orange juice. Sunday I would eat various fruits, veggies and usually some eggs or meat to make up the protein with coffee. Again, I ensure all nutrients matched. Every single saturday, I was completely "starving" as close to 1-2 hours after eating breakfast. It's like I never ate anything at all. I would eat breakfast, read a book and want to eat more. However, on sundays, I rarely even thought of food for several hours sometimes the vast majority of the day. Now, I work on saturdays and sundays, so my routine is and has been identical for the entire time. Very little actual science in this, but I thought it was interesting. Still have it from time to time, I usually just plan to have my veggie smoothie as a snack soon after. However, all this said and to comment on your question. For weightloss, it boils down mostly down to calories in vs calories out, if you want to indulge go for it, it won't end or halt your weightloss.0

Starbucks isnt really coffee. It is coffee mixed with mountains of other flavours which defeat the point of the word coffee. Why is every drink that they bring out nowadays more or less a fruit smoothie or toffee milkshake type drink? Plus they will charge you a fortune for the privilege.
You're aware that you can get black coffee at Starbucks, right?
You can even just get beans and then make Starbucks coffee at home.
(I don't like their beans much, but the idea that it's not really coffee is so silly.)

I think quality is important when trying to keep your calories at a minimum, but if you can log it in and it fits in your calorie budget i don't think eating McDonald's in moderation is all that problematic. And once in a while it does really hit the spot0

Great advice! Only you can decide if it is going to derail your day or not. Log it and see what it does to your day. Personally, I love McMuffins and can easy fit them into my day on a semi-regular basis.

I eat an egg white delight mcmuffin almost every morning. It hasn't lead to hash browns or anything else. If it fits for my day I eat it. Though I do admit to loving McDonald's way more than I should.

Oh that's just silly.
Of course it is ACTUALLY food.if you can eat it, then it is actually food.
The nutritious quality is perhaps debatable and it possibly has too many calories for some people, and some people just don't like it - but it is still food.
