What's funny is that not only are pizza macros great, it's also pretty filling. I don't understand the hate.

It's not the hate for pizza. It's the hate for self-control. Even if I make the healthiest pizza with the thinnest crust known to man, I would find it difficult to just eat 2-3 small slices.

I've reported your divisive thread, OP. I hope you're proud of yourself.

We usually have pizza on Sunday night, and I know this, so I figure out where we're getting it and log it ahead of time, so I know how many pieces I have room for. Then I know if I eat more than what I logged, I'm not going to be in a deficit. I used to be able to take down half of a large from Ledo's without even thinking about it.

Anyone else like fried eggplant pizza (or eggplant parm pizza)?? I grew up in MA and this was on every "House of Pizza" menu in every small town. Thankfully there is one place in Colorado that serves that topping on pizza and it brings me back to my childhood. Drool!

I prefer roasted, but I just had eggplant parm pizza not too long ago. I love eggplant. The place that uses roasted eggplant is almost an hour away, so I don't get it often. :disappointed:

Had new york style tonight. It was good. Pepperoni and mushroom. Just found out that they make their own pepperoni there.

I can't believe no one mentioned WHITE pizza!!!

We usually cant decide if we should get ham and pineapple or white so we usually just get both and eat it for a week.

The real debate here is always over stromboli or calzone.

True that! White pizza is good as well. With ricotta, broccoli and tomatoes.

because no one eats white pizza. It's like the cauliflower crusted cousin no one talks about. Pizza must have tomato sauce.

The best pizza has a Neapolitan crust - the real deal. Hands down. Crusts made in a similar fashion but that don't quite stick to the tradition come in 2nd (including my own homemade crust). I'll eat other types of pizza as long as they're not greasy or soggy or cracker-like (leaves out NY and Chicago and St Louis), but they take a very distant 3rd.

I'm less picky about what toppings go on it, but the quality of said toppings better be good.

I'll happily eat anything from a Hawaiian to a traditional margherita to a Romana, to one of my local faves with arugula, pear, Gorgonzola, and a touch of balsamic. I had a pizza in Paris that had a perfectly cooked sunny side up egg on it that was awesome. I like pesto pizzas and red-sauced pizzas, though I find I lean toward white pizzas with fresh or roasted tomato on them instead. Just keep bell peppers and mushrooms off of my slice, and I'm pretty much good to go.

People were probably afraid to bring up white pizza in a discussion about divisive topics because they were afraid they'd be accused of racism. Or pizza-ism.

I think breakfast might be a slice of cold pizza and some protein pudding.

Depending on what your particular "macros" are and how many calories have available. I can put away at least 3 slices, sometimes 4 which can run me up 1,000 calories and put me significantly over. If I were to do that two or three times a week then I'd gain weight regardless of my "macros" on the other days.

This discussion... this makes my heart happy.

Pizza all the time. Cold for breakfast, hot for dinner. All the time.

Somehow I always end up paying. So no arguments when I order. Free>picky most of the time.

People in NJ eat white pizza. They always have a white pizza out next to the cheese pizza and the pepperoni pizza. Its normal.
