Seriously, I think Chick-fil-A is greasy and gross and their politics got a little too public and wrong for my taste. Plus, they aren't even good pickles.
I'll always take your pickles! Costco has a gherkin relish pump for their hot dogs. I have to resist sticking my head under it. There are no Chik-fil-A here, but it was one place I avoided when I was in the states last year, there's so much choice as to where my dollars go so I avoid giving them to corporations whose views clash so wildly with my own.
I give my money to Chik-Fil-A because I want a delicious chicken sandwich... It has nothing to do with political/religious compatibility lol.

I loooove the Harvey's pickles. I get 4 on my burger and then extras on the side. They always give me at least a 2 inch stack of pickle slices *drool*0

When it comes to restaurants, I'm not to picky about pickles... But if I'm buying them from the market, I will ONLY buy Claussen Kosher Dills. The refrigerated kind. Not the ones you get on the condiment aisle lol.0

Pickle conoisseur right here, folks. I like those too, they must be spears though. Halves are whatever, whole are just too phallic, but spears are just right. #goldilocks.0 -
There is a restaurant called Chick Fil a? Pronounced Chick Filler? I'm raising my eyebrow pretty hard right now0

It's pronounced Chick Filet...unsure why they spelled it that way. For the longest time I was calling it Chick Fila Like the shoe
and could not understand what kind of store it was only to imagine that it might be some kind of ladies fitness clothes place, but there was a chicken on the sign and it was placed where the restaurants are in shopping centers so, yeah totally confusing.0 -

It's fine to not want to contribute money to organizations you don't agree with, though. I'm not comfortable handing my money to people that will then turn around and spend it on campaigns to strip me of my civil rights, so I don't do it. Easy.
I'm not sure I'd want to eat there to lose, though? Yay, calories in to calories out, and if that stuff is your jam then more power to you, but I just don't think it's *good* enough to be worth the sodium hit. If I'm gonna spend my calories on fast food, I'm going to In-N-Out or Cafe Rio or something. Personal preference, of course.0 -
Does anyplace else even make a chicken sandwich with pickles on it?0

If I'm going to eat 10 pickles, they had better be these:

Exactly... I mean, Chikfila publicly stated their beliefs.. who knows how many other food places have similar ideas but haven't been public about it. Food is food, and what the owners do or don't do with the money is no longer my business.
I've never been to a chikfila... is it really good? There weren't any where I used to live, and in this new city I moved to, I think there is one.0 -

I understand that view. However, they made a choice when they made that information public. Now customers are free to make a choice whether or not they want to support that.0 -
I have no issue with Chick-fil-A publicly stating their beliefs, and if it stopped there, I would be fine with eating there once in a great while, even if it was just waffle fries. But they give a portion of their profits to charities which are essentially hate groups, which then attempt to influence legislation (such as the gay marriage ban in many states.) I don't want any portion of my money going towards that, so I don't give it to them.
I'm sure that many places I spend money have similar issues that I don't know about, but Chick-fil-A chose to advertise theirs, so they can suffer the consequences (and have, with a large hit to their profits and denial of contracts in some towns/college campuses.)
Now, they issued a statement saying they were staying out of politics and stopping the donations, but I don't like them enough to check into it myself, and I don't miss their greasy chicken, so I'll just keep them off my fast food rotation (which is pretty selective.)0 -

So I liked the sandwich enough that when they gave us coupons I went and used it at their restaurants on a chicken sandwich with pickles. Then I liked that enough that when my friend wanted to meet there for lunch for me to give her some jewelry she ordered, I thought that would be cool. They came by the table a lot offering things like napkins and whatnot, it's a little more service than I've seen at other fast food places. My friend said she really liked the food overall. She had a couple different things. There was a play area so there were lots of families and it was a little loud but that's the only annoyance. For the most part even while crowded I found it easy to move about because people were pretty cool. The bathrooms were clean and I wish I could remember what it was the workers were always offering me for free? Was it water? Drinks? Napkins? I forget.

Personally, I'm all about the waffle fries. Yes, the chicken is fantastic and they bring in a TON of money even being closed one day a week. The fries, though
