Oh man has it been ages.....
"Rue the day?" Who talks like that?
So it's both immoral *and* unethical?
So you'll hammer later!0 -

Sidney Poitier! Of course I have to add it to my queue! As if my 300+ films in there wasn't enough lol. Oh well looks like I'll never run out of things to watch!0 -

The Gods Must be Crazy II. Not sure how many times I watched that one as a kid, I've since seen it again as an adult and it aged well. Not like Wild Hearts Can't be Broken, Calamity Jane, Milo & Otis, 7 Brides for 7 Brothers, or The Rescue (1988) and other childhood favorites which are just embarrassing to watch now.
Holiday Inn is also another one of my favorite movies of all time. Actually, I'll watch anything with Bing Crosby.0 -
My favorite movie is Donnie Darko, but it's probably not in the same league as some of the ones mentioned in this thread.

Love Donnie Darko! Maybe not a classic in terms of some of these but still a classic in it's own right!0 -

Oh, I still love it too. I just can't help wondering why I loved it enough to watch it close to 100 times during my preteen years. Parts of it are pretty cheesy! I have 2 brothers and we used to get turns picking a movie to watch each afternoon and we would continually pick the same ones. (Solar power, so tv time was limited) One summer my little brother picked 101 Dalmatians (cartoon) every time it was his choice, every 3rd day for the entire 2 month break. I wasn't nearly as obsessive but you get the idea...
other movies that influenced me greatly:
That Darn Cat! (1965)
The Cat From Outer Space (1979)
Cheaper by the Dozen (1950)
Tammy - movies from the 1960's
