Hey! I'm getting back at losing some weight (after having lost and gained half of it back). This is just beginning and I want to focus one day at a time and win small goals to make me stick to it.
My plan is to log my food in everyday in December 2014 and be under my calorie goal.
And therefore, lose approximately 3-4 pounds by the end of this month.
Anybody in?
I'll post a day end report everyday.

  • I'm dreading December but I've come back on to fitnesspal to help me keep track of my portions. Put on two stone. I'd need to lose a little more than two stone to get back to what would be considered my normal weight. I can't promise I'll post every day but will be back to offer any advice or tips I've had over the years.

I have 34 pounds to lose. And if I lose a pounds every week starting 1st Dec, I'll be in Onederland by 27 July 2015. I know its not so simple and the closer you get, the slower you lose and many more comments but well, I'm aiming for that 27 July 2015.
So Let's do it. Let's keep each other accountable and nail this month. :)
    Good luck girls. :)

I'd love to join you :) Any interest in making it a group thing so everybody would have a central place to post and check in?

My day 1 was good. I was under my calorie goal, though I couldn't exercise. Hoping day 2 would be better!
So how was everyone's day 1? Fill me in. :)

One day at a time, I love that attitude! We got this. My Day 1 was great until I put my son to bed and had a few seconds to myself. I ate so much, it's ridiculous. But today's a new day!

Sounds good. I need accountability. My goal is to log no matter what and to get at least 8 cups of water.

Happens with everyone, sweetheart! I swear to God, I've completed my day here and am still hanging around those roasted rice-flakes like every 10-15 minutes.

Very nice that you're starting with being honest about logging. It has a huge impact. You can do this girl. :)

My Day 2 was good. I was tired but I made it a point to atleast go walking. I walked as fast as I could for 35-40 minutes.
Food wise, the day was good, despite having lunch outside.
  • My workplace is doing a Christmas challenge where you're given a new challenge each day in the month of dec and the idea is if not to loose weight, then to at least maintain it. Not all the challenges are fitness related (dec 1 was to create and budget your xmas list) - but some are. Day 2 was to ADD an extra mile each day to your fitness routine (so if you already run/walk a mile a day, do 2. If you do 2, do 3...). I'll try to remember to post any fitness related challenges in case they're useful to anyone.

Nighttime is the worst for me...especially after the kids are in bed! I did well Thanksgiving (ate on a small plate, didn't go back for seconds), but had a horrible weekend!! I tried to have the same attitude on Monday - today's a new day!

That really does sound interesting. Lets see if we can make this process less painful by such. :)

My day 3 went well. :)
Though I had a heavy breakfast and lunch, but they were protein rich and by the end of the day, I'm under my calorie goal.
I did go for a walk today. 40 minutes total. So, all in all satisfactory. :)
Do fill me in with all your day end reports.

I think one day at a time is the best way to lose weight. Of course we all have our end goal, many months from now, but I have found when I think about the future it's much harder to stay in the moment. If you take it one day at a time, stay on track and exercise that is one small victory every day, and that feels pretty good.

Day 3 is going alright so far, I made good protein choices to keep me full for breakfast. Lunch will probably be a lite salad, and dinner will be shameless....nachos. But I know I'm going to eat junk today for dinner, which means I'll eat lighter the rest of the day! And If I weren't so sore, I would work out. But man, I can barely move!!

So true! I get caught up in the grand scheme of things, and get overwhelmed. One day at a time, with small goals in mind, is the way to go for most people. I am looking forward to hitting 160, because my mini reward is to get a manicure :)
