OP, sorry to hijack your thread lol... My advice would be to listen to the ones who have been here the longest and have had the most success.

Just because someone's been here the longest doesn't necessarily mean that have the most success. Just like how a person's physique (good or bad) isn't always a good representation of his or her knowledge of fitness. I've had an MFP account for years just only started posting and getting active on here recently. Advice from someone who has been here FOREVER and still trying to lose weight? Sorry but I personally would take it with a grain of salt.

    Here you go.
I said someone. Someone = one person = a single person = one human. An unknown or unspecified person; some person.

How did you take that to mean everyone here on the site? lol.

What you said made it seem like people were only here to lose weight. You assumed that they were on here to lose weight, when truthfully, not all people on MFP are here for that reason. I know you certainly weren't talking about me... I've been here for 9 months and have lost a total of almost 55 pounds. I'd call that pretty damn successful.

  • You will be 3 weeks closer to your goals if you start today. You will look and feel better too.

    Congrats to your brother.

2.5 weeks? You'll get more improvement out of appropriate clothing choices than you will in actual body composition changes. Shop well.

(Now to see if any of those offering the worst advice are offering their services as a mentor in the adopt-a-noob thread...

    ...because hilarious.)

Nope, I don't think that is here. Now, in the detox thread....that's a different story.

Why did you wait until two weeks before the wedding? Surely, you knew it was coming?

There's nothing you can do. Drink a lot of water and get some sleep.
    ^ this.
