    Yeah, it has to do with struggling to swallow something dry like that forces control of the doohickey thingamawhatsit that makes swallowing happen :lol: : And sugar is pretty much the only thing like that that wouldn't be gross to swallow a spoonful of. Never worked for me though.

    Hmmm... I always thought the hiccups were related to the diaphragm, not the palatine uvula. Here's something that might make swallowing "interesting" to say the least...
