    i lift many sets of heavy reps, so i'll do like 8 sets of curls at 2-4 rpes, then i'll do 1-2 sets at a higher rep range like 6 or so. and i do that with all movements pretty much

    Is weight loss surgery doing it the right way? I would like to know how people lose weight doing it the old fashion way. What keeps you motivated?

    I would love to point out that people who get weight loss surgery are not just automatically losing weight! They suddenly have a mechanism that reminds them that they have eaten enough. They still have to do it the old fashion way. They have to eat better and excercise to lose the weight. This profile is my wife's and she had the Band put on her. But I know that she has had to completely change her lifestyle. The way she eats, what she eats as well as ramp up the excercise. She has not lost 105 lbs from a magic surgery that made the weight drop away. Seeing that these changes work is really motivating. Dropping a size or 2 (or 6) and realizing she can shop in the "normal people" store has boosted her confidence immensely

    Well that's me at 212 pounds (sad) back in June and at 160 pounds this month :smiley:

    52 pounds. 2 T-Shirt sizes, 8 inches off the waist. Currently going for muscle building.
