So apparently Subway is rolling out wraps nationally now. I never normally go to Subway, but I'd be interested in hearing how well they executed these! Brand Eating's website says they have three varieties, but when I went to Subway's website and looked up my store I found 25 o:
Also, Junk Banter found the last of the newest Enlightened flavors.... my heart is melting (but slightly disappointed it's not cotton candy or carrot cake)
Oh man those wraps have been dominating my subway for the last week. The wraps are around 800 calories each and corporate has been pushing us to promote them so hard. Just the wrap alone is 300 calories! We had a lot of training on how to fold em and proper portioning because even a little more lettuce than usual can make them so hard to close. I still have had to retrain some employees on closing them. We've sent out some coupons in my area too to get people to buy them, and we are supposed to be verbally suggesting wraps every time. Although, the feedback I have received from my regulars who tried em is 'meh, not the same as my sub, weird that the wrap itself isn't warm' too high cal, and they have all ended up going back to their usual sub. If you are a die hard wrap fan though I think they are yummy, especially the tomato basil flavored wrap!
Are they promoting them as 'healthier' too? I still can't wrap my head around how wraps are always labeled as healthier than bread...
We haven't really been pushing them as healthier but I do have to hold myself back from telling customers who say stuff like "I'll eat light today and get a wrap" that its probably near double the calories of the six inch they usually get5 -

Kind of absurd that the wraps are 300 calories when you can get a foot long of their Italian bread for 400. I'll take 100 extra calories to be that much fuller at the end of the day!2 -
The coconut caramel Yasso pint was good, but I was disappointed with the coffee brownie bliss and chocolate peanut butter flavors. The coffee just tasted like frozen watery coffee, and the brownie pieces tasted undercooked. Chocolate had a weird flavor - I'm not sure that chocolate works with frozen yogurt. The peanut butter swirl was disappointing too, as it was a very salty peanut butter and made the whole thing taste weirder. I'd stick with the non chocolate and non coffee based Yasso pints - I'm liking those flavors quite a bit.3 -

Thanks for the review and pictures! Sounds too mediocre to waste so many calories on since I know they’d be gone in one sitting.
So per the suggestions to check Target for these, it was a success! I LOVE them! Overly sweet and while my dad said they tasted only like spicy cake to him, I swear they’re carrot cake flavored. The inside icing would’ve been better cream cheese flavor, but the drizzle on top is cream cheese so that makes up for it. Very, very sweet. Just the sugar bomb I needed in my life, personally I think Little Debbie nailed it.

Anyone find any interesting Easter candy this year?
I've only bought a package of White Chocolate Reese's Eggs & one single Cadbury & Reese's egg.
Giant used to get a lot of different varieties of the Russell Stover eggs like Cookie Dough, Wedding Cake, Birthday Cake, etc.

What did you think of the White Chocolate Reese's Egg? I think I like them as much as the milk chocolate ones.
And, yeah, there doesn't seem to be much out there this year.0 -

It's not even on their website. Guessing the calories are pretty high though, no?0 -

I think their "protein" ones were all around 240ish calories. I love white chocolate. I wish more companies did white chocolate flavored things.0 -
This was on The Impulsive Buy's website... if anyone on this forum lives near Safeway please try these ASAP and report back! I never shop there because it's out of my way, but if these are good enough I might have to make an exception....

ProYo (if you're familiar) recently rebranded...
Chocolate Chip Cookie Batter sounds amazing at least by the name!!
I picked up Proyo chocolate chip cookie batter and cookie and cream flavors today. The branding/packaging matches the old flavors though. Chocolate chip cookie batter is odd. The only mix-ins are the chocolate chips, like their PB chocolate chip flavor. The base is the "cookie batter", no actual dough chunks or swirl. Base is interesting, a bit different tasting than normal vanilla but not quite cookie dough/batter. Ingredients do list caramel brulee syrup but I think it's a bit of a weird sweet vaguely buttery flavor. Halo top and enlightened with actual dough are much better. I'll be trying cookies and cream soon.0 -
seems like the glazed donut enlightened
has been the one that have people most curious so i picked this one first!
reminds me of a birthday cake flavored ice cream with a chocolate swirl through it. as i don’t love birthday cake flavored things, not my favorite but it’s not bad! the sprinkles are a nice touch.
