Mine was an '86 Plymouth Horizon, charcoal grey :embarassed:

It only took me 30 years to get my dream car...

A '72 Dodge Dart that my Dad sold to me to get to/from college. It had no air conditioning, no power steering, no power windows or power brakes, No neat little nooks or pockets or cup holders or a vanity mirror.

But it did have a radio. Woo hoo! :drinker:

    1991 Volvo 760 for $600 in 2004.

    I sold it for $1600 in 2005.

Then, I bought a 1986 Volvo 240 for $425 at a salvation army auto auction.

Drove it around for 2 years, got in a car accident that was not my fault in it, so their insurance company paid me $1600 for it and let me keep it. One hood from the junk yard later and had it another 3 years.

Then, I sold it for $750 and bought a 1999 Ford Escort for $500 in 2009.

Snapped a timing belt on it, sold it for $300.

Bought a 1990 Volvo 240 for $500 in 2010. Sold it two years later for $950.

Bought a 1993 Volvo 240 station wagon. My dream car.

.....i felt like i had to tell my car journey. I love volvo 240s.

A Ford Ranger pickup truck with a 302 engine.
That thing was a tank. I ran it into the ground racing it all the time. When I got rid of it, it was only running on two cylinders.

Sounds a lot like my first car. I had a ’91 Mazda 323, 2-door hatchback. It was white and my friends nicknamed it the “Egg”. It was missing paint, no air conditioning, no power steering, and no cup holders, only one outside rear view mirror on the driver side, no power windows, no tinted windows, no automatic door locks, and the back hatch squeaked beyond belief. However it did have a radio with tape deck, so I could blast the music to cover up the sound of the squeaking. It had automatic seatbelts (that were recalled and I never had fixed, I was 18 what did I know) and busted CV-boot joints. So it sounded like a beast when taking corners. LOL. It was also a manual transmission with a slightly burnt out clutch. But hey, it got me from point A to point B and never left me stranded. At that time gas was $1.07 a gallon.

I got a 1979 Ford Mustang for HS graduation, and then totaled it on my 2nd day of college. It was good while it lasted.
