Oh yeah .. staying outside.. I remember being a sweaty mess just laying in the grass exhausted from the full day of playing. That smell that the grass had on a warm day... the way the hose would always have that scalding hot water for the first few seconds when you turned it on.
ants biting your barefeet .. hahaha..

Man, kids today just have no idea what its like to really enjoy the outdoors.

I asked my daughter if she wanted to play outside the other day... she took her itouch out with her.

    REALLY ?! SERIOUSLY?!

    UNPLUG THE KIDS

Yup, I remember all us kids would play til dusk. We knew we had to be home at dusk, but it was so hard to get us to stop playing. I remember our parents calling us (as in shouting throught the neighborhood) all home, and we (at least my brother and I) only got the one call. If my dad had to call again or come after us, we'd get grounded.

I remember Big Wheels, I used to pedal really fast and make the tires spin. LOL

I remember my first bike, a pink Huffy.

I remember paper dolls, and Shrinky Dinks, and my Easy Bake Oven.

    When cartoons were actually good.
    Playing outside and investigating life.
Riding my bike around the block.
    Walkman, then CD players.
    90's music/rock.
    Sprite Remix.
    Ring/Baby Bottle pops.
Eating whatever I wanted without gaining an ounce.
When cup ramen was good. Now it tastes like styrofoam.
    Slap bracelets.
    Collecting gel pens.
    Lisa Frank school supplies.
    Windbreakers.
Being in love with Saved By The Bell, Boy Meets World, Full House, etc.
    John Stamos.

I dunno. I'm younger than some here. :3

My kids are all about the Fun Dip, still. Yesterday, they were outside all afternoon (I'm thinking the apocalypse is near).

And, I still have my binders of baseball cards :) Although my Barry Bonds rookie isn't worth the paper it's printed on now

I remember paper dolls, and Shrinky Dinks, and my Easy Bake Oven.

I was robbed of a childhood 'cuz I never got to actually play with my Easy Bake!

My dad had a bell. If he rang it and you weren't home, he'd be pissed. The typical rule was you came inside when the street lights came on. :)

Yup!!!! I can find it in certain stores around here, the ones that carry that "old" candy. My nephew loves it.

I remember candy cigarettes, having a sticker book.

I also remember cartoons were on ONLY Saturday morning. If you slept in, you missed them and had to wait til next week. There was no choice of 800 channels that played them 24/7.
