I took vacation last week and traveled to do a lot of hiking in the eastern US. Here are some of the more interesting photographs:
New River Gorge National River - West Virginia
Ponies at Grayson Highlands State Park - Virginia (This was taken while standing on the AT, by the way.)
This timber rattler and I had a tense moment before we were far enough away from each other to start snapping photos. Old Rag Mountain, Shenandoah National Park - Virginia
Can you spot the deer watching me? Damascus Forest - Pennsylvania
It was pouring during part of my hike, and streams were really moving as a result. This is a creek crossing along the Buckeye Trail. Cuyahoga Valley National Park - Ohio

On Canada Day, my cousin, my husband, and I hiked to the top of Mt Cheam in lower mainland BC.

View from the top of Mt. Whitney near where I live in Northwest Arkansas. Rode up there with a group of girls on Saturday- over 3,000 feet of elevation change for the 50 mile ride!

There's a 10k hike between Oia and Fira on Santorini, Greece that I took these on. This is from September 2014 but I couldn't resist sharing. This thread is my absolute FAVORITES by far! So inspired! Treadmills suck!
