    Hi all. A few days MIA although have been tracking the (many) calories.
    I lost all motivation last week.... feeling unwell, sore tooth, stressful work issue and just didn't have it in me.
    Feeling a bit better this week and finally got to a bootcamp today despite the spluttering.

    So... This week I am going to keep my goals small so I start to rest a bliss some control and motivation.

    Tuesday's goal:
    - no sugar type snacks, whatever else I do. That's it. I'm going to break the sugar monster's hold on me!

    I'm new to this thread and love the mindset. I actually have a keychain that says "Just For Today" to remind myself, when I'm trying to steer clear of some craving or other, to skip it just for today. Often reminding myself that it will be in my future, that there will be a cupcake(or whatever my craving of the moment is(usually sugar)) someday, makes abstaining from it now a bit easier. And then remind myself the next day and the next....
    JFT my goals are-
    To make healthy meal and snack choices
    and not get sucked into a jar of nutbutter.
    To do an hour on the ellipticals.
    To prepare a tasty and sensible dinner for two tonight.
    And to drink lots of water.

    Just stopping by to say hello.

    I was out of town for several days and did not track or set goals. I've been a little off track with exercise (lots of time in cars and boats, not enough enough time moving) but my eating was fine.

    I need to go to a fancy event this Friday, so tomorrow I will be back to setting strict goals.

    It's the end of the day, and I'm at the Zumba Convention so I won't be back tomorrow, so here are my intentions for tomorrow
    1) Eat breakfast
    2) Do physical therapy exercises
    3) Register for the conference and visit the Zumba store.

    ^I did all that^
    I'm back home. :'(

    JFT, Tuesday, August 18
    1) Orthopedist to hopefully drain my knee
    2) Physical therapy for my kee
    3) Get back to a normal eating routine

    Good day yesterday. Came up short on my work out time at 42 minutes but was below my calorie goal. Walked away from a late night snack.

    Reminded myself of my I'm getting healthier, both morning and evening.

    Great conversation with my coworker and friend. He moves at the end of the week, 8 years of officing next to each other.

    For today, I will work out for 40 minutes
    For today, I will stay under my calorie goal and won't over indulge in any single food
    For today, I will say out loud the reasons I'm getting healthier. Morning and afternoon
    For today, I will review my grateful list and add at least three more

    1. I will look for the positives in my day and not focus on the negative
    2. I will eat only whole food. Nothing processed.
    3. I will drink 10 glasses of water.

    I finally met my previous day's goals! Wow. I guess I have to keep them as simple and generic as possible or I set myself up for failure repeatedly!

    Tuesday's Just for Today:
    1. I will write down my to-do list and check off items as I go so I can see the progress I'm making
    2. I will again look for the positives
    3. I will drink 10 glasses of water
    4. I will stay away from the foods on my Food Sensitivity Test list.

    Yesterday I felt strong and achieved all my goals. Today, just for today, I can do it again.
    My JFT goals are:
    To do an hour on the ellipticals
    To eat healthy foods
    To drink lots of water
    To make a delicious sensible dinner for two
    (Also, to be confident and attentive for my work stuff)

    Hi everyone! I am back on the wagon today after taking a 3 week break. I went on vacation and have a beautiful tan! I have not felt comfortable in a bathing suit for many, many years, so it was wonderful to be on the beach in my new body. I still have lots of work to go....so...

    o:) I will resist the box of baklava at work. It killed my calories yesterday and while I left an allowance for a couple of biscuits, I didn't allow for this.

    I could NEVER be trusted alone with baklava! I would have to take it outside and throw it in my neighbor's garbage can. No. I would have to have one of my kids do that, because I would probably eat it on the way!. :wink: :blush:

    Had to report back already on one of mine. Didn't get frustrated, mildly impatient and confused at the lack of the system interaction, signed, and have a new car. Now to work on getting more driving time before my driver's license test on Sept. 11, which should be easier in a vehicle that isn't my husband's baby and is smaller and easier to drive.

    Hmmmm... not quite. I had a 2 biscuits at the conference venue I was working at today. The only good news is that I talked myself out of the 'well I've blown it so might as well carry on' conversation and stopped. Made myself really check in with hunger level (which was generally at 'ravenous' all day today) and what I really wanted, recognising that craving might just be a symptom of something else.
    Just asking myself that helped me to break the urge long enough to start doing something else.

    First time in a long time I didn't accomplish a thing on my daily list. Didn't work out in the morning and was off the tracks from there. Finished 60% over my calorie goal.

    Good news is aside from my wellness commitments I had a good day. Early start to work and was productive all day.

    New day.

    For today, I will work out for 80 minutes
    For today, I will stay under my calorie goal and won't over indulge in any single food. No chips or cookies
    For today, I will say out loud the reasons I'm committed to becoming healthier both morning and afternoon
    For today, I will review my grateful list and add at least three more. Will insure my lovely bride knows how much I missed her while she was out of town and that I need her support

    This describes me - feeling like such a failure. But, being a failure is staying down. Today, I stand up, and get back on track!!!

    I saw this quote this morning, and feel exactly like you do. I have tried and tried so many times, "starting over" again and again. But we are only a failure when we give up. I'm starting fresh again today. You are to. We can do this!
