Is doing the lemonade detox healthy? Has anyone ever done it? What were your results, how did you feel?

There is no need for any of those detoxes.
What, exactly, do you think you need to detox from? Your body does it on its own. It doesn't need a juicing/detox.

Do these detox threads get sillier each day.
What will we see next? A McDonald Big Mac detox, dust detox, ab neg blood detox, frozen mint pea detox.
Who comes up with them and is there money involved and how do I get some of that money?0 -
years ago I remember watching Opera and they had a hot dog diet ... eat all the hotdogs you like with no bun ... yuck I bet someone made a mint with that gem0

I've made a solemn vow that every cleanse and detox thread shall be a peep cleanse thread. Or at least every one I happen to see when I check the recent conversations.0 -

It's working too. I see the word "detox" and my brain thinks "peeps!"

The best way I have found to flush my system is Japanese hibachi. Do not get between me and the bathroom! Apparently it's a thing. Google "hibachi poop".0

We just call it the Haribo!0 -
This is certainly a "detox" I've never heard before. Are you talking about the whole putting lemon juice in water ordeal?

And could you please answer the first question posed to you up there?
What are you detoxing from? What will drinking lemonade remove from your body which
your liver, kidneys, lungs, and skin aren't already doing?
Use some common sense...
How do you _think_ you'd feel if you drank nothing but lemon water for a week??
Weak, probably. Hangry. Mentally clouded.
The longer you tortured yourself with it, the more your health would suffer.0 -
I know several friends who have done it. Many bragged about dramatic weight losses on Facebook during the process. None continued bragging if/when they completed it, and several have since gone on to other fad diets, cleanses, programs, etc, and are still struggling to lose.
I've eaten at a calorie deficit for over three years, more specifically - I know my BMR and my TDEE and I eat in between those numbers. I've reached my goal weight and kept it off through birthdays, holidays, vacations, summers packed with weddings and huge buffets - all my clothes still fit, and I have not fallen off any wagons or backtracked in any way.
Eat at a reasonable calorie deficit and have patience - this is the sustainable way to lose the fat and keep it off. Otherwise you're just going to get frustrated and be looking for the next quick fix.0
