I learned this in the past week and here is the answer...no we cannot express ourselves without others hitting us over the head.
As you stated in a previous post...this is a discussion.
Its not its a debate.......I learned that the hard way too.
Typically different people have different opinions. This is fine but yes causes debate to a certain extent when opinions get questioned etc. There is typically no hitting over the head until someone gets butt hurt about someone not agreeing with them and starts making rude comments. That is when the head hitting starts. I do believe (and I am not the only one as it has been stated by several others) that you are a HUGE culprit of expressing your opinions and then getting rude and judgemental when people don't agree with you. Welcome to the internet. Not everyone is going to agree with you all the time. You are not superior to anyone and your opinions are not golden rays of sunshine for all to bow down to. If this information is shocking to you then maybe the internet is not for you?
You would be wrong.
Thankfully more people emailed me to say...omg we are so sorry they are so rude...than the rude people who emailed me that I had to block.
so....
She likes to assume?

Things people should not be doing at the gym:
1. Eating chicken soup on the Stairmaster.
2. Hanging their undies in the squat rack
3. Doing their taxes on the spin bikes
4. Drinking champagne in the locker rooms
Sweating is ok. I think.
what about sex and champagne in the locker room???
Sex in the champagne room?
was out- and now I'm back in.0 -

its part of the joy of the forums. didnt you get the memo? LOL
I am rookie...I am getting a schooled today. I will consider all possible scenarios before I do this again.
Just so you know...some people actually start sending you nasty emails ...i just block em before I even read them....then
They come after you when you comment in other forums. htg.
Its kinda weird...
You seem to think that people on these forums care about you personally. This isn't the case. You make incorrect and absurd statements and people correct you.
Really, I don't think anyone is as emotionally invested in this as you are.

To be fair, from my limited interactions with her, it seems like a safe assumption.0 -
So I missed all the rude vomiting stuff again- can we bring this back around to the sexy in the champagne room thing?0

I don't know what's going on here, but I'm in.
Even this guy knows that sweating is ok... as long as it's to the oldies!

Yeah, that one was kind of snarky. Mea culpa.0 -
If we all get caught up in sex + champagne who is going to resolve "Sweat or not sweat in gym etiquette"?
Can we have a final word on that please? I want to sweat so bad.0 -

What if you sweat when you are having sex? Is that ok? Because that can often be transferred as well.
Seriously, so many rules...

Sweat yes, but contain it please.
If I'm going to sweat I wear one of these.

Sweating? At the freakin gym? Oh HELL no! What has this world come to when people are just running around sweating. AT THE GYM of all places. I just don't know any more. Kids these days.
I know, right? Everyone knows the gym is just a place for people to get dolled up and pick up the opposite sex (or same sex, if that's your thing). The exercise equipment is just part of the scenery.0 -

My gym and sex etiquette are the same:
don't look at me, talk to me, breathe near me, and clean up after yourself.

And I thought I was missing out by not being able to afford the gym, but if people are going to complain about how much I sweat then I'm glad I only workout at home.0

Don't worry. It's all complaining behind your back. We'll be cordial to your face at least.
Unless you find them on mfp0 -
