    Jet black looks better on pale skin

    I'm going to have to disagree with you on that one. I have natural "jet black" hair and I'm very much caramel-skin colored.

    I think my hair and my complexion look amazing together. I've never tanned and I've never dyed.

    I have naturally brownish/blonde hair and I dye it black. I stripped it once to go back to natural and hated it! Dyed it back a week later. I agree though, you have to pick the right black. I accidentally picked a black/blue once. Not again, lol. I think you'd look gorgeous. It might take a few days to get used to it at first though.

    I'm a natural blonde but decided to dye my (very long) hair jet black last summer. I LOVE IT!! I may have pale skin but the black really brings out the green in my eyes. I've had a lot of people compliment me on it, and it looks so natural that most people are shocked to hear it's dyed. I say GO FOR IT!!

    I think it looks great on women with pale skin...it only looks wrong on lets say older individuals (gray eyebrows and a good recollection of war-bonds)

    Remember tho when you go black its hard to go back (I know that sounds like a pun) what I mean is it takes a fair amount of bleaching to strip the black out of your hair.

    I'm sure you will look stunning.

    ^This. If you're going to do it, commit to it. There is no going back without destroying or chopping your hair.

    I dyed mine jet black when I was a teen and went through kind of a goth phase. It's been every color in the rainbow probably. I would do it again, but it is just too much money for upkeep with my blonde roots. My favorite hair color is auburn.

    I am sure you will look hot! Jet black is awesome! I tried it a few years ago but no one recognized me after. I got really sad so I bleached it till it turned copper. heh, luckily I had a super short pixie cut at the time so it wasn't too bad. I used to change my hair style and color like every 6 weeks when I was younger. Fun times. Anyway, you are gorgeous I am sure you could prolly pull off any color you want. Good luck!

    Yeah I agree with you. I am pretty sure I'm going to dye my hair anyway but I'm just asking for opinions from los chicos y chicas because I'm curious.

    okay here's a pic of me if anyone wants to recommend a certain shade of black or possibly a new style too. it's not the best pic and I look tired and out of it haha, but you can see that my hair is a dark shade of brown. I dunno, I feel like my hair now is boring, maybe because I've never dyed it or gotten highlights but I definitely think it's time for a change! :D

    yeah I'm hoping when I dye my hair it won't look fake. hopefully that won't be a problem since i'm going to a salon. me and hair stuff = no bueno

    L'oreal has a midnight collection. I use that on my hair, and I'm naturally a brunette. It's not as harsh as a jet black, but it's dark.

    I'm pale with pink undertones and look best as a redhead, but I pull off the soft violet black very well.

    Well, I'm not a guy, but I think it depends on your skin tone. I have light skin with pink undertones, and jet black would just make my skin look ruddy.

    EEK! I have pale skin. But I am trying to tan this summer ;)
    Buy it in the box and don't go to a salon and have your hair stripped. I've always had thick dark hair and it looks even better with a tan!

    Maybe try soft black that's what I use and I love it, don't use permanent use the semi or the one that washes out in 20 something washes. This way if you don't like it , it will wash out.. Blk is hard to get out if you use permanent . I love Garnier Herbashine, it leaves your hair conditioned and only takes 10 minutes.

    yeah i was also considering going dark red, but i think i'd look better with black hair. Also, I'd be concerned about maintaining my eyebrows with red hair, because they are black and thick and SO hard to maintain as it is with dark brown hair! :grumble:

    did anyone see how Fergie looked when she dyed hers black? I didn't even know who that hot az woman was guzzling down that can of soda. Someone said it was hard to go back, and it is. I had to bleach the ****ens out of my hair.
