You ladies CAN do this. I started in the 300's. 318. I'm currently 205.5 with 185 as my goal weight. I'm fifty years old and 6 feet tall. I don't do anything extreme I just eat less and move more. Keep plugging away at it EVERY day and you will get out of those 2's. I've gone from a size 26 to a size 16 which is almost better than the scale numbers!0

Hi,
I've been over 200 for most of the last 20 years despite many efforts to lose weight. I was diagnosed within the last decade with PCOS and finally just recently with insulin resistance - being on the right diet/exercise program and medication is helping a lot! I hope to eventually get down to the weight I was in my early 20s, even though that may be ambitious.
Hang in there, and be sure to work with your health care practitioners to be sure there's no underlying problems as you continue on your weight loss journey0 -

Anyone who wants to add me, please do! I've been working out for a while but only joined MFP a couple of months ago. I started with Zumba 1x a week in August 2010. By the next summer I was doing 2 classes per week. Then we got a third class with a second teacher going which was awesome. Then the first teacher got a different day job and the new teacher got too far along in her pregnancy and we were back down to 1x week. I joined a gym in Feb 2012. I lost around 25 pounds with just Zumba, the rest with Zumba and working out. I go to the gym 5x a week usually, alternating upper and lower weight circuits and then cardio all 5 days. I don't do much exercise on the weekends usually, I'm spending time with my two youngest daughters, who are 9 & 11. I also have 4 adult children - sons who are 23, 20 and 18 and a 19 year old daughter.

GW under 200 to start, ultimately I would love to see 150.
For quite a while I was stuck on a plateau. Once I started MFP and really paid attention to every bite I eat, I started losing 1 pound every week. It works!0 -

I'm currently doing insanity ( LOVE IT! ) with my fiance' (we get married 7/27/2013 YAY!!) Its definitely working and I've lost 11-12 lbs

Second time around for MFP! Was doing great losing almost 60 lbs 3 years ago, until a knee injury for 8 months, and fighting Plantar Facitis for the last 2 years.... here I am again! Still can't exercise a lot, but have modified to chair exercises and biking. Would love to have this support again!
