Keton diet

I am contemplating starting a keto diet...low carb, high fat. Anyone try this? Just looking for tips and advice please! I have about 75 lbs I want to lose and I feel like the majority of my weight is in my stomach and boobs. I just need some help and would appreciate feedback.

My sister is currently doing the keto diet and she's lost 21 pounds in a little under 3 months. She says she feels soooo much better since cutting carbs and sugar and that she wouldn't go back. I also know three other people who are on the keto diet and they have all lost 20-40 pounds each in not alot of time and they all love it.

I just started keto myself a few days ago, so far its going okay, no keto flu for me that I've noticed.

Results vary from person to person as with any diet. Some people have lost 20+ pounds in two months and continue to drop; some people barely lose 5. Just try it out for two or three months, if you aren't getting the results you want, ditch it.

Warning: It can be a dangerous diet if you have type 1 diabetes (pretty sure its type 1, fact check if you want) because it may mess with insulin, etc. For the majority of people, its perfectly safe though.

check out that link for a general overview of keto and important stuff to pay attention too. read it ALL. pretty sure it has info about the diabetes thing. If not, do a google search.

So far as sodium, magnesium and potassium go, I find that I'm doing alright without needing any supplements for those nutrients, but they're supposed to help with the keto flu.

Keep in mind that meat, nuts, spinach and cauliflower will become staple foods to have. (spinach for nutrients + high fiber, cauliflower for "rice" and for making different types of keto "bread"). Almond or coconut flour might be a staple as well if you really miss bread and that kind of stuff. Artificial sweeteners as well, if you have a sweet tooth (stevia, splenda, erythritol, etc.) So, if you're vegetarian, keto isn't really a viable diet choice.

Also check out those groups that were posted above.
If you happen to have a pinterest, you can find LOADS of recipes on there to cook for all the meals of the day, including dessert. You can also try out ruleme . com and cavemanketo . com
