    I have to admit that growing up my definition of dessert was cake, ice cream, or pie. I still love ice cream, and I eat it when I am craving it, but I am enjoying eating fruits these days as an alternative to all of the sweet stuff I used to eat.

    Desserts should be full fat, full sugar and carby.

    By the power vested in me by myself, I now declare "carby' to be a proper word.

    I am learning to equate "dessert" with fruit. I have been eating watermelon and other fruits as my dessert lately, and it tastes just as good. Here in Korea, the Koreans eat fruit as dessert, not the sweet stuff that Americans eat. I hope to make this a habit.
    This is the way it is in many countries around the world.

    What did I learn growing up?! Lol.

    Chocolate should be considered dessert, but I don't eat it anyways. I'll have some fruit with dinner though.

    I wish fruit was considered a dessert on my house. It used to be cupcakes and ice cream.. I am getting better and now have frozen yogurt or pudding. I can trick myself with a fruit salad, but the whipped topping isn't good for me. I think the ultimate dessert is a smores.

    This. I don't eat dessert very often. For me it is an occasional special treat. So when I indulge I have the mentality of go big or go home.

    Dessert to me is usually something creamy, sugary, or processed. (like cake, cookies, ice cream).
    I do eat fruit for dessert a lot, but when I say it out loud or in my head it's less of a dessert and more of a "dessert".

    Anything I eat after my meal. Doesn't matter if it's sweet or savoury. If it's a closer to my meal, it's dessert.

    I rarely eat dessert. I do have a snack later on around mid-eve though.

    Ice cream or beer.

    <= Why not both together?

    Cookies go awesome with beer.
