Celebrate your loss and not food. Don't eat the sides or the dessert. They're not needed. Have fun and happy birthday.

Treating yourself on the FEW special days of the year (birthdays/holidays) compared to the rest is not how we got here. If she wants to eat all of that and enjoy herself, she can.

Happy birthday, Debz! That all sounds so good!

    Happy Birthday, fellow Taurus!

Listen to Emily, not Captain Killjoy.

When I go out to dinner, even if it's not a special occasion, I order what I want, eat half and take the rest home. And if the portions at this place are that big, you could probably take home more than half! But definitely don't deprive or restrict yourself.

    Have a great time!

Thanks all...I AM going to enjoy. I only need to lose 4 to 5 pounds to reach my weight goal (118 pounds, size 2, 5'6", 58 age) and I will be right on the wagon band tomorrow.

    Fixed

Using food as a means to celebrate is what's causing America to be obese. You can celebrate your "special day" with a million other things than food.

No, it's not. Eating more than you burn consistently causes obesity. Not celebrations involving food. What a ridiculous claim.

You will never reach your goals if you don't stick with the plan 100%.

    What a load of crap.

Perfection is not required for weight loss. I would go so far as to say that expecting oneself to be perfect is a recipe for disaster.
