Its only day 1 and I feel like this course has helped me so much already. I am hooked. I also signed up for the Nutrition & Physical Activity course that is being offered by University of Pittsburgh. Its starts on July 15th.
Nice catch! Enrolled in that one too.

I've just watched all the week one videos. Pretty good stuff. From a chemists perspective I didn't know how they got the Omega-3, Omega-6 fatty acid names so that was interesting.
The lady seems sarcastic and I like the shade she throws.
Haven't seen the boards yet, kind of scared now....
Please, DO go to the forums and feel free to contradict and down vote the crazy people posting links to Natural News0 -

There are a couple potentially interesting courses starting up in July. Added a thread for those:

how's everyone doing in their course(s)?
I love Nutrition for Health Promotion & Disease Prevention so far. I can't believe we are at Week 5 already. I'm getting used to the format for the Nutrition & Physical Activity course since its a little different than the first one, but all in all I am so happy that I took advantage of signing up for these courses. I take notes in my notebook and I feel like I'm back in college again. Hope everyone is moving along nicely. Also, again if anyone sees any Nutrition/Health/Fitness courses being offered online, please post on the forum.

I'm just downloading those courses to do later. For now, I'm taking Programmed Cell Death (biology) and History of Rock, Part Two. That reminds me. I've got a quiz due for PCD soon.
Here is an interesting looking course from Harvard through EdX: https://www.edx.org/course/harvard-university/spu27x/science-cooking-haute-cuisine/639
It starts in October and looks fascinating for foodies.0 -
So it's the end of the course, how did everyone do???
I really liked doing the course and it was the first one that I've done. I'm signed up for a few more (too many I think) today I started the Introductory Human Physiology - https://www.coursera.org/course/humanphysio -
I really love the concept of these online courses and wished I found out about them sooner0 -

Don't fret. You're not really late to the party. These MOOCs are still very new. The schools, the platforms, the professors, and the students are still figuring out how they will shake out. I must admit, I'm really greedy. I'm downloading a bunch of courses. Literally max-ed out my computer memory.0 -
Thanks for introducing me to Coursera, which I haven't heard of before! Unfortunately, it's addictive! I've signed up for courses which are really challenging for me and I'm enjoying getting my mind working and exploring new subjects (or subjects I haven't studied since age 15/16.).0
