By inflammation, do you mean that the fiber made your stomach feel bloated? I will say, i know several people who get crazy gas with broccoli. Might be worth trying other veggies.
YES that's it! And it lasts for like a day or so. I'm trying spinach but I like to watch the chickens eat it.
Well if you don't eat a lot of fiber and the all of a sudden, start to eat fiber, your stomach will be slightly upset. It was no different when I went from 15g to 30-50g of fiber a day. Please understand though, that fiber helps with colon and GI health. So while you think it's for the animals, it's very beneficial to you.0 -

How am I promoting an unhealthy diet? This is what I eat. Again assumptions is all that is to be made here.
I figured 2 months was enough to see something move in the right direction. Hence why I came here to the"experts" now I understand its a mistake.

Magnesium Citrate can be overdone. You can develop a dependency.
Are you logging all your butter?
Considering your highly unusual diet, this scale would be well-worth the investment.

Your are right there are some WONDERFUL people in the thread trying to help and I thank them for it. However there are some for whatever reason that feel the need to be I guess what they are. If it makes them feel good fine I'd wish they rather not troll the thread.

I can only expect you're referring to me, since you seem to have flagged some of my posts.
I've explained, without being too verbose - though I can be if you'd prefer, that your unvaried diet is unhealthy.
Personally, and frankly, I wouldn't bother trying to pinpoint the inaccuracies in your calorie counting until you acknowledge that a highly restrictive diet is unhealthy, and agree that it needs to be rectified in a controlled manner.
Otherwise, talking about calorie counting is futile. You'll lose weight if you get it right, sure, but unless you're blessed with the innards of a leopard it won't be healthy & you'll spend just as much time trying to undo the fruits of your overly, unnecessarily restrictive weight-loss labours.
Why not take the advice that helps you get it right first time?0 -

If you enjoy your eggs... Make an omelette. Throw some cheese in and your bacon. Seriously good and will help increase your calories. Make sure to weigh and log the cheese and bacon0 -

I think your biggest bang for your buck will be to start weighing your food so that you have an accurate calorie count. Then, if that calorie count is consistently below 1200, definitely increase how much you are eating. If you are eating quite a bit more than you thought, it would make sense to gradually bring your calories down until you are losing steadily.

Not necessarily more per se, but definitely need to add in some vegetables and fruit...a few more carbs wouldn't hurt to balance things out too (though certainly people can and do have success on low carb diets).
Also, need to take steps to more accurately track what you're eating. Many people (myself included) can get away with eyeballing portions, etc. But if you're not losing the first step in rectifying that is to establish an accurate baseline and tighten up your measurements so that can be ruled out as a cause.0 -

You don't need to eat more. If you were truly only taking in 800-1200 calories per day you'd be losing weight.
You're not measuring, so something is off in the way you estimate when entering your logs.

No. Your take away from this thread should be to start measuring, weighing and logging your food accurately. The suggestions to eat a more varied diet would be helpful for your health, but you can lose weight eating what you're eating. I'm just pretty sure you're eating way more of it than you think you are.0 -
The only drinking vessels in our house that hold as little as 8 ounces are some coffee cups. Actual glasses are between 16 and 32 ounces. At 160 calories per cup of raw milk, a 16 ounce glass is 320 calories. Two glasses a day is 640 calories. And so on. You might want to double check the size of that glass.0

Weight loss = eating LESS calories then you burn
Maintenance = eating the SAME amount of calories then you burn
Weight gain = eating MORE calories then you burn
THIS IS FOR EVERYBODY!!! NO EXCEPTIONS.
The result depends on, weight, age, time, how tall your are, gender, and or medical conditions etc.
But when you eat less than you burn you WILL lose weight.
As long as you weigh ALL your solid food on a food scale and know how many calories you consume daily.
Log EVERYTHING you eat here on MFP
Be honest in your logging and patient.

Well honestly, you need to weigh your food, but you should start with a higher baseline for calories. Your goal should NOT be 800-1200 calories. Set your account to 1 lb per week. And if you exercise, you are supposed to eat some extra calories.

You are already taking in more calories than you think or you would be losing weight. You need to be accurate first in your logging. You need to get a food scale, measuring cups, etc and use them. A drinking glass or coffeee cup is not a measurement device. You need to log everything like butter or oils used in cooking. You need to choose accurate entries.
You can lose weight eating only eggs, chicken and milk in the appropriate portions. It would be a seriously good move for your health to include more foods in your diet that provide more nutrients.
I'm curious what you have changed about your diet. Before trying to lose weight, what did you eat?0 -
