    Do you know I don't hate accounting? Wasn't I writing checks to sub contractors the other day? Didn't I catch up on logging my mileage a few days ago too? Won't it be easy to do my taxes in January since I'm all caught up with everything?

    Would you believe I drove to my sister's for a Christmas Eve gettogether, and though I remembered to take the two pies and ice cream I was tasked with being, I left the "gifts" (aka debit cards) for all the kids on my kitchen table?

    Aren't I now overfull from having small servings of too many desserts?

    I know she's not an in-law, but did you drive more than a mile?

    Do you now have a good excuse to send all the kids a letter in the mail (complete with debit card) thus introducing them to that nearly extinct pastime from bygone days? Didn't I exchange monthly - sometimes more often - letters with my paternal grandmother from the time I was 12 until she passed away a few years ago?

    Did I write all of the above, forgetting to start with Merry Christmas to all my MFP friends? 🎄

    Doesn't my sister live 15 miles away, and aren't I always happy to drive that distance to see her and hers? Had she lived only a mile away, though, couldn't I have slipped back home and retrieved the forgotten gifts? Didn't I, as a child, write letters mostly to aunts (to thank for gifts) but also to a cousin in Los Angeles who had lived with us for several years when we were just little tikes? At that young age, didn't I write the following on the back of many of those letters?
    Didn't it go something like this: "Dear Mr. Mailman, please D liver D letter D sooner D better."?

    Don't I think waiting for something to arrive, after the date it was supposed to arrive, can make me feel frustrated and annoyed? Don't I hope your package arrives soon, too?

    Didn't one person think that maybe it tastes so good that it disappears very quickly?
    But isn't it actually that apples are sliced so thin that they nearly disappear into the custard they are baked in? I can't imagine being able to slice apples paper thin, but wouldn't it be worth a try?
    (Don't I imagine paper thin apples are only possible using a good mandoline slicer, which I don't have?)

    Aren't I planning on seeing if I can find some Christmas cards on sale tomorrow? Won't I then write those letters? And aren't you right, that it's past time for me to get some sleep, since I plan on swimming at 6am? Will that happen, I wonder, as it's about a quarter to midnight right now?
