May I wish everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, in the form of a question?

I know she's not an in-law, but did you drive more than a mile?

Do you now have a good excuse to send all the kids a letter in the mail (complete with debit card) thus introducing them to that nearly extinct pastime from bygone days? Didn't I exchange monthly - sometimes more often - letters with my paternal grandmother from the time I was 12 until she passed away a few years ago?

Did I write all of the above, forgetting to start with Merry Christmas to all my MFP friends? 🎄

Doesn't my sister live 15 miles away, and aren't I always happy to drive that distance to see her and hers? Had she lived only a mile away, though, couldn't I have slipped back home and retrieved the forgotten gifts? Didn't I, as a child, write letters mostly to aunts (to thank for gifts) but also to a cousin in Los Angeles who had lived with us for several years when we were just little tikes? At that young age, didn't I write the following on the back of many of those letters?
Didn't it go something like this: "Dear Mr. Mailman, please D liver D letter D sooner D better."?

Is everyone having a happy day and a merry Christmas, if you celebrate? Did Santa stop by? 😉

Didn't Santa bring me my gift early (several weeks ago)? Don't I now need something to put in it?

Did I explain before that this is exactly like the cookie jar my mother had when I was growing up (except it isn't all broken/cracked/glued with missing pieces), and did I confess that I stole from it many, many times? 😇

    Did Santa bring you something?

@frankwbrown does that gift from Santa bring back happy memories? Do you want some linzer cookies to go in it?

Would you believe I got a lump of coal in my stocking and that my gift is waylaid by the delays in shipping in my region?

Isn't this angry face 😠 on your behalf for shipping delays? Don't I wish it doesn't take too much longer to arrive?

Don't I smile every time I look at it? Wouldn't I love some Linzer cookies?

Don't I think waiting for something to arrive, after the date it was supposed to arrive, can make me feel frustrated and annoyed? Don't I hope your package arrives soon, too?

Have you heard of an Invisible Apple Cake (aka Gateau Invisible)?
Aren't I so intrigued by this cake that I'm shopping for a mandoline now?

Why is it called "invisible"? And aren't I now intrigued as well?

Didn't one person think that maybe it tastes so good that it disappears very quickly?
But isn't it actually that apples are sliced so thin that they nearly disappear into the custard they are baked in? I can't imagine being able to slice apples paper thin, but wouldn't it be worth a try?
(Don't I imagine paper thin apples are only possible using a good mandoline slicer, which I don't have?)

Won't I have to sleep on that?

Did I forget to tell you I hope you had a great Christmas, Frank? Should you get started on those letters or is it time for you to sleep now too? Will you be surprised to find out I'll be checking back in the morning for your answer? 🥱😴

Aren't I planning on seeing if I can find some Christmas cards on sale tomorrow? Won't I then write those letters? And aren't you right, that it's past time for me to get some sleep, since I plan on swimming at 6am? Will that happen, I wonder, as it's about a quarter to midnight right now?

Can someone tell me what to do in -13c (9F) feel weather? Aren’t I from Canada but rarely experience such coldness? 🥶

Will you give us a review of the cake once made? Did you know baked apple anything is tied with cheesecake as my favourite desserts?

Aren’t I glad it’s my gift and not someone else’s that is taking the scenic route? ☺️

Isn't it obvious? Don't I stay indoors in that kind of weather? Do you have extra socks and blankets? Would you like to borrow my woodstove?

Would the Woodstove arrive on time? 😂 Socks? Might I have to borrow some of my son’s since I’m not sure I own any?

If Santa had only known, might he have brought you a pair of these socks?

What was I thinking? Isn't mine built into the wall and hard to remove? Would you accept this virtual replacement and never-ending supply of firewood? Won't you please stay warm?

I'm not familiar with about, is it anything like snow? 😂

Do you know how much I hate that I can't go back and edit a bad auto correct once it's past 60 minutes? Also, are you aware that Cat is excellent at interpreting those?

Haven't I been sitting in my car in the rain, all warm and cozy, eating a quick breakfast? Aren't I about to dash inside, out of the rain, so I can hop in the pool and get all wet? 🤣

Didn’t I get called into work to shovel our about two inches of about? Isn’t that an awesome workout??? 🥵

Do you know how long it's been since I had to shovel snow? And when I did, wasn't it only for a week? Around here, isn't a little snow reason enough to send the kids home from school, like it's a major event, like a holiday that needs to be celebrated?
