Hi! I am starting over again, (new account) and I would like to have some like minded friends! Female, over 40, getting back into health and fitness, weight training and macro counting.

Problem is that I have NO idea how to add friends now! It used to be different and now I can't figure out how to add friends.

    Anyone help? 😊

Hi, im Fred. Im 48, been a member here for ages. Ive lost about 160lbs so far, although its been slow and steady rather than dramatic. Ive still got a lot more weight to lose, but recently I've put on a few pounds (about 20) that i'd lost, which is entirely my own fault as I've been eating a lot of rubbish. Anyway, to get myself back on track I need to start logging food again, moving a bit more, and get myself mentally motivated. So anyone with a lot of weight to lose, or people who are good with logging and sharing recipes or their journey, id love to hear from you. My diary will be far from perfect, some days its really good, other days its horrendous, but when I do log, I will be honest, warts n all. There'll be days I go over my calorie goal, because, well, because im kt perfect. But my system has worked so far. Anyway, id love to hear from some new people who I can share the highs and lows of trying to lose weight and be healthier.

Hi I'm Ella 36 from the UK, I'm not new here but haven't been on here for many years and couldn't access my old profile that I had (Determined_Ella) from 10 years ago. so I made a new one.

I've lost touch with a lot of good friends I had on here sadly, as they either aren't on here anymore or have new names.

I could really use some friends that are happy to help me on my way to a life long journey, for support/friendship/motivation and to give advice on weight loss, food, toning and if anyone knows about HEDS (Hypermobile Elhers Danlos Syndome) with regards to exercises that won't cause my joints to dislocate 😬😂 so yoga for me is a definite no ha! I also have a good listening ear if you just want to chat in general too. 😊 Or if anyone is on a weight loss journey too and just needs someone to chat with.

My aim is to lose weight, eat healthier but not cut out "unhealthy" foods altogether (or do I need to? 🤔again more questions I need answers for lol) and to tone up and just live a better and weight free life again.

Thank you if you've read this far! X

Hi there - I've been logging food for one week. Can't figure out how to friend folks; perhaps bc I'm using the free version as a trial. Please friend me for accountability, mutual support, and laughs!

Greetings, everyone. I'm John from New York, 38, and a runner trying to find and then maintain an appropriate racing weight. Problem is, I've got a sweet tooth and have also been known to struggle with stress eating, so I could use some accountability. I've been on MFP before and figured now was the time to try again as I enter another marathon training cycle.

Add me if you're looking for some mutual support!

I’ve tried the other apps and didn’t have much luck, so now I’m here on MyFitnessPal.

I’m Matt—on the socials, I usually go by The Barefoot Nurse. I’m on a mission to go from fat *kitten* to... well, somewhat less fat. At the same time, I want to learn more about health and fitness and share what I learn with the nursing community.

It’s odd, isn’t it? Nurses spend so much of our time looking after other people’s health, yet often neglect our own. We do patient education every day and talk about health literacy, but when it comes to things like losing a few kilos or getting fit, a lot of us don’t have the knowledge—or if we do, we don’t apply it to ourselves.

I’ve found that if I learn about something, I’m more likely to stick with it. And if I learn it well enough to share with others, it tends to actually stick in my very small brain.

Community is important—especially when it comes to changing habits and building new rituals. So I’m keen to connect with others who want to support each other along the way.

I’m lucky enough to be taking some time off work to really focus on my health, so let’s see how it goes. Cheers.

    Heyo 👋

My name is Shelby, and I've been on MFP on and off for years. It's time to take this seriously, and having people who could become friends in here to help keep each other accountable sounds awesome. I'm currently at my heaviest and I'm terrified for my future because of it. Let's reach our goals together while celebrating each one's stepping stones to their own goals 🙌🙌

Hi folks, I'm Matt (one of many in this thread, I think!) I'm a 41 year old academic and beach volleyball enthusiast, living in New Zealand. I lost a bunch of weight in my late 20s with MFP, but slowly it's crept back (especially since having a couple of kids!) Back then, I found it super helpful to be part of a community, and have people commenting and reinforcing me for logging. Please feel free to add me!
