Hello fellow FitnessPal's. Well, I put the weight back on and here I am again. Previously I blamed work, then I blamed covid, then I blamed work, but now I blame myself, there is no more excuses. I have to be more resilient with sticking to making proper meals and stop eating on the go all the time. I would like to have decent friends on here who can give advice and who I can hopefully encourage and give advice to also. Male, female, tall, short, hell I’ll even consider Taylor Swift fans I’m that non biased…lol. (But defo not Jedward fans, I have to retain a little respect).
So what about me. I am 52, male, happily married, live in Lancashire UK. 178cm, weight at start (now) 117kg. So yes I am way too short for my weight 😉. My hobbies are, or was and still should be, cycling, hiking and cooking. Unfortunately, my professional life often gets in the way of sticking to my hobbies, but I am focused now and I would like to stay focused. So if you are up for becoming a friend and encouraging each other, feel free to add me as a friend.
Note though, I am looking for decent people who don’t mind sharing their journey etc. that means writing more than three words every couple of weeks. Let’s encourage each other properly, give good praise and help friends that need a bit of a lift when the scales 'are faulty'.

Hello. I've been on MFP for a few years but mostly lurk. I lost my way in healthy eating after some family life events and gained something on the order of a few solar masses.
But I am back now and back on a system that seems to be working for me. Down almost 20 lbs over the last few months. My pants are looser and I can comfortably fit in a waist size 38 again. Looking forward to the support or friends or whatever.

I have no friends that use MFP, and nobody that also want to lose weight have taken me up on the offer to work on weight loss together. I have supportive friends, but it just isn't the same as having someone to talk with, vent to, and celebrate with who is also working on themselves. I'd love some friends here!

I am new to the gym. Started 31-12-2024. My reasons for going was to build strength and to get away eating and drinking what I wanted.
my goals have now changed as I would prefer to eat better and lose the fat around the centre as well as increasing fitness and strengthI love being outside and walking the dog
