    I read that eating cholesterol foods does not cause high cholesterol. Cholesterol is made in the liver and you need cholesterol for proper functioning of cell membranes and brain Health. It could be hereditary. My total cholesterol is high but my doc says there are new guidelines now and my risk factors are low. So I don't need to take those statin drugs with potential damaging side affects. I'm 55 years old. My healthy cholesterol hdl is 62 which is very good. My LDL is the one that is out of range. My weight loss doc told me that excess carbs and too much sugar in the diet causes high cholesterol. Hope this info is useful to you.

    My bad chorestorl is 183 and my good is 42 and I'm only 20 my gp told me to start taking statins but idk I'm so young I'm thinking of seeing a specialist

    How much do you weigh?
    I got down to 155 I weighed 173. I'm 5,4.

    So if your problem is cholesterol, I would ask your Dr or dietician what foods to cut out. Cheese alone won't do it. I lowered my husband's in 30 days by 37 points by having him replace red meat with white meat, no egg yolks, and yes, no dairy. If you want to cut your cholesterol fast and drastically, I recommend eating more vegetables (upping your fiber) and subbing out any red meats you eat for lean white meat or fish...and try to limit the dairy. Like most people have said, have it in moderation. BUT I'm not a Dr and that's the best resource for advice on medical issues :)
    Wow 37 point lol I ate healthy as he'll and did cardio but my bad chorestorel went up 3 points and good choresterol went down by 2 points

    Oh, I love all the cheese you just listed. Real cheese, not this processed stuff.

    I thought all cheese is processed.

    If by processed you mean fermented, then yes.

    Fermenting is processing.

    So is chewing.

    "this processed stuff" does not mean fermentation.
    It means mass producing plastic "cheese" like substances and calling them cheese.
    context is important.

    Correct language is even more important. Before you say that "processed is bad," you have to specify WHICH process is bad. Cooking processes food. So does chopping it up. So does melting it. "Processed" generally means "stuff premade in boxes that I don't like."

    You could say, "I don't like things that are labeled as 'cheese product,"" which is absolutely true in my case. :)

    Cheese is delicious but I've pretty much eliminated most dairy from my diet, and I've stopped getting hormonal breakouts along my jawline completely. I also used to have a lot of mucus in my body and fluid in my lungs shich was blamed on asthma, which has totally gone away since then. My 20 year old brother had awful painful cystic acne for years until he eliminated cheese and dairy by products completely and his skin is clear for the first time since he was 12. He'd even seen multiple dermatologists and tried every topical treatment under the sun. I think some people do ok with cheese/dairy, but it probably effects more people than realize it in a negative way.

    1 ounce of cheese looks small, 1 grated ounce of cheese looks bigger. I would not give it up completely. I would limit my portions per week. Yes its high fat but its a once in a while on my list.

    @, what does that consist of? That's a bummer it didn't work! I'm giving a very generalized version of what he ate, but it was all whole foods, mostly plant-based with some lean white meats and fish. So, no refined or processed foods, no dairy, no red meat, low sugar, no oils (people get all freaky about this, but we don't use olive oil, etc anyway).

    Almost Exactly what you did but I didn't cut out dairy. I also had a cheat meal once a week because I didn't want to deprive myself. It was usually pizza cause ily pizza. I did that for 3 months
