Back in the ER again with My Mom. I'm mentally exhausted.

I did it for my mom too every day for about 10 months. It wears you down. I was lucky to have help from my sister and others. I don't know any details of your situation, but it's the one thing I'll always be proud of; that when my mom needed me, I was able to take care of her. Take pride in being able to say the same thing. No one loves you like mom.

You're a good man. I applaud you for taking care of your mom in her time of need.... after my father passed away, I came to stay with my mother. As somewhat of a hermit, she needed to be taught how to use an ATM and debit card when grocery shopping, and I hated to think of her alone in the house. Quite honestly, we take care of each other. Even in my 40s, that old lady will still wait up for me to come home lol. A mother/son bond is not something that dissipates with time.

Aww.. That's beautiful.. Both of you... Respect

This melts my heart melt. I'm so thankful that I have a son. My girls would roll me out into a ditch and leave me to rot.

I have 5 kids. I think they drew straws to see who has to take care of me one day. :D:p

If you get a good son-in -law, you'll be fine.

My father-in-law is going downhill quickly, and a new and special bond is forming between my mother-in-law and me.

In less than a month I'm flying across the country to meet a MFP member.
    Never flown before
Never even left my state before
And I'm a pretty shy person
But I'm not freaked out or worried. Just happy to go and meet him.

Hands down the craziest thing I've ever done. But also the best.

Definitely only get a tattoo if it has meaning. At least that's my recommendation too. They really are permanent....who knew! I have a couple and know what I want for my third but it took years for me to figure what what I wanted and the design. After that, I sat on it for a bit.

I put my phone on top of the laundry in the basket I was taking to the laundry room and kinda forgot it was there when I dumped it all in the drum. Then when I got upstairs and looked for my phone I realized it was in the washer. I have never sprinted down the stairs quicker I can tell you.
I have the image in my head. Hahaha

@littlemissbgiff I confess I've thought about getting a tattoo but could never decide on what I'd really want. What's the X for?

It's the Roman numeral 10. Got that for my tenth wedding anniversary. 6 months later I found out about his first affair. Now I tell people that's where I hide my buried treasure. Have a plan for a cover up but you know, priorities.

Don't get tattoos for anniversaries...got it. And yeah I know...priorities.

Yeah I would think long and hard about a tattoo. Maybe something that means something only to you. Or maybe just write a journal of your feelings. Lol.

Life changes, along with likes, dislikes, culture, society and trends.

This is why I will probably never get a tattoo again.

Although, my 'Bay City Rollers' tattoo is pretty fresh.

I had always wanted a tattoo and when I left Idiot (my first husband) my brother was like now you need that tattoo. I was going to get a cat, cause I'm Ali Cat but was flipping through the big book of tattoos and there was this butterfly with an eye in its wing and I thought how perfect. A butterfly can signify spreading my wings and flying on my own and the eye is always there to look over me and protect me.

Really though I got it cause it was pretty and purple

My first tattoo was the most beautifully colorful butterfly on my taught 18 yr old belly. To represent my love for nature and all things outdoors. 3 kids later, it's the scariest dragon you've ever seen.

I'll never have one. There is nothing I feel so strongly about as to put it in ink.

Although I have been known to write a grocery list on my hand with a ballpoint pen.

Thanks for all the kind words all. My mom didn't get admitted. They still don't seem to have an answer for her pain which sucks but it is what it is I guess. I'll just continue to help her the best I can. I'm her only child and really the only person she has to look after her. I just wish I could help more.
