I confess I need to have a serious conversation and I'm not sure how to bring the topic up... and I'm not sure how express my myself without causing emotional pain.

Oi, these can be the worst feeling but sometimes the most necessary conversations.

The hardest thing to do is to start the conversation. You owe it to yourself to have the conversation. Good luck.

It's definitely necessary. And probably overdue.

And I'll probably keep putting it off for a while because I'm a chicken.

I confess that I wish I could accept myself as I am, rolls and all, and stop re-starting my fitness plan.

I agree. Sometimes it is so hard to start these types of conversations, and many times emotional pain may end up happening whether you try to avoid it or not. Sometimes, I get lucky, and an opening comes up for me to be able start my conversation. Other times, I just dive right on end, like ripping the band aid off. Just really depends on the person you are and the topic of conversation. Good luck with this one, and I hope that you succeed in what you need to accomplish.

I would rather continue to suffer in silence than create conflict or cause pain. I hate hurting anyone.

I confess, it is weird to be at a point in life that I would have DIED to be in and dreamed about, but not be able to do it the way I thought I would because of having adult responsibilities, morals, and such.

I confess.. I am feeling alone without being alone.. If that makes sense. My family used to be so close. We literally lived 10 minutes away from each other, and always went to my parents house for get-togethers. When my dad passed away, my mother moved to the state where she grew up in, then all of my siblings started moving away, except for my older brother, which was my best friend. He passed away a few years ago, and now its me here. I do have my beautiful family: hubby to be and my daughters. But, it is hitting me hard planning this wedding. My favorite people in this world won't be there, and I can't help but hurt about it. I put on this smile, and I am so excited, but it also is a really sucky moment for me at the same time.

I don't know the situation at all but...

If the roles were reversed would you want the other person to "suffer in silence" or have an uncomfortable conversation that could potentially fix things?

If things were really in need of fixing, I might be less hesitant. I'm more worried about causing a problem where there isn't one. I guess the more I think about the issue, the more selfish it seems on my part and I feel dumb for letting it bother me.

But it does... it really does.

If there is a need for a conversation then surely something needs fixed or there is already a problem right? Again, I don't know the details so I'm just trying to understand.

I don't want to publicly get into the details because they seem dumb in my head, and would likely be seen as even more dumb in writing.

It's not that the situation is bad. It's more that I'm worried about trying for a little tune up and making things explode instead.

By staying silent you hurt the most important person in your life. Yourself.

Do you get the large tubs that are intended for family only to eat the entire thing yourself?

They make family size tubs of pudding??? That would make that wrestling match I have this weekend so much easier!!

I was expecting home made pudding. Tastes much better when we lick it off.

Is the wind trying to do the same thing over and over again and expecting different results? :)
