Beach Cliff sardines in lemon sauce is my all time favorite.
Most hot sauce brands are wayyy too spicy for me.

Why?
Because I will most likely not die of starvation/thirst while I properly prepare food and sit down and enjoy it with family or friends... To me eating is not about stuffing my face, it's about enjoyment.
Well it is a bit snobbish, to be honest, to assume that people eating out of a can are not enjoying their food or that they are stuffing their face. For some foods eating something out of a can is specifically how I enjoy that particular food, much more than passing it through an intricate preparation routine. It just feels special sometimes, like licking the spatula when you're done preparing some dessert.
I'm not making any judgments on how other people enjoy their food.
All I said was that I don't enjoy food that is eaten hastily or without a bit of "setting the table theatrics"...
I think people are just reading into your use of "Fortunate" - which could imply everyone who didn't have the same lifestyle could be unfortunate. But I doubt that's how you meant it. I think it was just a word you used haha.
Ya, often when a person here talks about his/her own experience, those with a different experience assume the poster is invalidating their reality, which isn't the case.

Oh yeah....:D
As for eating out of a can being stuffing ones face and not "celebrating" food. Well maybe for you that is how it seems. For me.. eating my spaghetti and meatballs or ravioli straight out of the can IS the celebration. It is a huge treat and one of the most enjoyable meals I could imagine when I want to indulge. I happen to enjoy the flavor a lot more and personally don't like it nearly as much when it is "properly prepared". With one exception. Heated ravioli wit canned green peas over mashed potatoes. A calorie bomb to be sure but... It was a favorite of my late husband and it does take me back...
Don't judge. We all have different experiences in like and food is one of those things that can be very individual.
