I have been doing good tracking my food every day for over 100 days, but I didn't weigh myself for a month and I found out today I gained 10 pounds! I want to lose 20 by New Years as well to get down to 220 lbs. I want to join in this effort and need the support of you all because I have been struggling with stress and eating too much sugar.

Welcome to the group, sugar is deffo my struggle too especially when I am stressed so I know how you feel

Yeah, that's a nightmare of mine. I'd rather not weigh and just be confident that I'm losing, but my body is so fickle, that it puts on weight very, very easily. People say, "eat less, move more" unsympathetically as if it always results in huge weight loss because it's worked out simply for them. So I choose to weigh daily and of course bank calories accordingly.

Anyone that hasn't got a problem with sugar or being overweight don't have a clue how tough it is.... I wish that sugar didn't exist as I would deffo be slim!! I don't eat a lot in terms of volume but have the most horrendous sweet tooth...

lost 6,2 so far since sept 1

273 this week down 2 pounds more.8.2 lost since sept 1

11 pounds since sept 1 270.2 this week

two more pounds 268.2 .13 since sept. 1

anouther 1.8 pounds so 14.8 since sept 1

my scales acting up real weight is 273 instead of 267 so only down about 8 pounds since sept 1 still think i can do 20 by jan. do not know how long they were wrong just went back to weight now.but good news saw the specialist today he cut my metformin dose in half removed my water tablet and changed my stomach pill to when needed instead of daily

Sorry to hear you haven't lost as much as you hoped but reducing the medication is great news, focus on being healthy rather than the weight as if you can get healthy the weight will follow.
thanks i am let down about the weight but it explains the weight jumps i have been having. i am so happy with my health i really do not care so much about weight . next goal off of metformin and blood pressure

You are deffo going in the right direction to get rid of the blood pressure medication, I have been off mine now for 3 months and am managing to hold the bp down I have so much more energy without the tablets I honestly cannot believe how much healthier I feel without them. Keep focussing on walking, fresh air and blue skies deffo helped me to feel more relaxed and positive and I am certain that is what helped me to get off the meds and I hope it will for you too :)

I stayed the same again :( Bit disappointed but need to remind myself that I have already lost 48 lbs I was unfortunately going to plateau at some point but its still frustrating... The crappy rainy weather is not helping as its much harder to motivate yourself to go out walking!! At least I have zumba on Monday to look forward to :)

Don't worry Margaret. You are gaining health. We focus so much on the numbers and don't see the extra energy, diminishing meds, those other more difficult measures of success. You are doing so well monitoring tour food and activity and supporting US!

Here's to a successful weekend, my friend! ♥

    September 6th - 175#
    Yesterday October 28- 164.6#
I have new scales which I think weight correctly at about 6# more than the old sticky ones..... But I will tak

Slowly but surely! 159.6 this morning! 4.4 pounds to go to meet our challenge!

Then I have 10 pounds to my goal of 145. My Libra app projected today, if I follow trend that could happen December 31st. Now that would be a nice holiday gift! :)

No matter the date, I am so close to goal, a weight I haven't been since I graduated high school.

    I. Am. Stoked!

    Happy Monday all!

Alrighty, here we are, another week complete and a new one begins! I'm down another pound for a total of 4 lbs - that's pretty good, but not what my expectations were - I'll be seeing a specialist to sort out some health issues this week and get some answers (hopefully). To everyone who's pushing to lose weight - of any amount - by New Years, stay strong and keep up the good work! We here on MyFitnessPal stand with you to reach your goals!
