It is not cheating! It's "research". JJ Cale is worth knowing.

Just for a little entertainment until Susie shows up.

    Chicago + first #1 = [song]

It's on today's "This Day In History" on history.com.

I think that would be either Beginnings, or 25 Or 6 To 4.
Also, yesterday was the 48th anniversary of the release of Led Zeppelin II.

Those aren't the song they list as Chicago's first #1 hit. I just listened to the AT40 countdown from 1976 about a week ago where they listed this song as their first #1. Pretty surprising they had not scored a #1 prior to 1976.

    @deckerp, and @billyc55
    Together you're SOOOOOOO close!
I'll toss you a bone hint:
re: "Polar"... think directional (that narrows the field down to two on this planet)

I'll post an answer tomorrow if no one has it by then (or if @Mustang_Susie posts another entertaining gif)

I want my 13 year old daughter to learn the piano chords but she doesn’t like it :(

Yep, released in ‘84, the year I graduated :#

  • 3-way Mash-up (see spoiler for definition). I'll provide the 3 artists (in order) and you have to provide the 3 connecting songs.
    Definition:
    Mashup: MA` sh * up: (n)
The would-be song if two artists mashed their titles together
    Example:
Artist: George Gerswin and Elvis =
Song: I can't give you anything but LOVE Me

    1. Rodney Crowell
    2. Aerosmith
    3. Stephen Bishop

I found "Stars On The Water" on Wikipedia. From '81 (speaking of a good year). I don't remember hearing the name Rodney Crowell before, but I'm pretty sheltered sometimes.

Stephen Bishop had some really good stuff.

Would someone like to throw out a new one.

Not sure if we lost the person with the last question or what?

Is #1 Voila, An American Dream? I used Google. More used to the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band version - I guess he wrote it for them...

Lesser known band with a lesser known song from the 70s, but good stuff.

Picasso + Love Boat ride / not warm + warm feeling = [band/song]

Guessed the artist name and Googled the song title
I am not familiar with this artist
    Pablo Cruise/ Cool Love
  • deckerp
    deckerp Posts: 4,484 Member
    Correct.

I'm sure you've heard their two big hits.

    "Love Will Find A Way"
    "Whatcha Gonna Do?"

I even surprised myself by naming the artist on "Love Will Find A Way". I heard the opening of the song (pretty distinctive) and just blurted out "Pablo Cruise". I hadn't heard the song in 10 or 15 years. Yay me.

    Go Susie.

My first thought was Double Loving by The Osmonds (among others). Maybe this one is The Doors?
