Ham, George, Donkey Kong, and Rafiki all agree:

    on a quaint canyon weekend,
    you should
ride the final trip to this Tennessee City

Solve for artists and the 2 songs

    Ghostbusters

Monkeys- Curious George, Donkey Kong arcade game and Rafiki from the Lion King, can’t think of who Ham was though...

    Correct
My daughter wanted to watch Ghostbusters for Halloween.
    I hadn’t seen it since the ‘80’s.
Rick Moranis just nails it- he’s so funny.

Ham, first american into space (chimp)
Curious George affable chimp of children's book fame
Donkey Kong: Video game ape (and original Mario nemesis)
Rafiki: wise 'shaman' and Mandrill in the Lion King

    four monkeys (ees)
Last Train to Clarksville was one of Billboard’s top songs the month and year I was born :# ...

 hmmmm that would make you...
as witty as you are wise
I'm not up on my Chinese Astrology, would that be the year of the...

    ...wait for it....

Sorry, we went to a football game yesterday.

See, Ham threw me off, because I was thinking Toy Story. Also, I think of Donkey Kong as an ape and not a monkey.

Fill in the blank with a two character first name.
Home Improvement TV show reference for the last name.
With those two it'd be easy to search for the song title if you don't know it.
