Alrighty then, I'll ride in on all your proverbial coattails.

One number with multiple acceptable answers, but I have 3 old skool's in mind:

    27

    And... Go!

Shot in the dark here but the only thing that comes to mind when I think of 27 is the age of the artists when they died. These include but are not limited to:
    1. Jimi Hendrix
    2. Janis Joplin
    3. Jim Morrison

Here's an old poster of mine that my 13 year old is currently holding hostage called Forever 27. It's Kurt Cobain entering a room that Jimi, Janis and Jim are already occupying.

Clue time: This is what I would call "Pair/Share" because these "pair" of artists both "share" the same song title, although it's not the same song. Hope this helps!

Great! I actually have one, a mashup. Below are the artists, guess the songs. Instructions in the spoiler if you don't know them:

The Who (both album & song title - this one may be tough)
    Mac Davis
    Tim McGraw
    The Buckinghams
    Definition:
    Mashup: MA` sh * up: (n)
The would-be song if two artists mashed their titles together
    Example:
Artist: George Gerswin and the Elvis =
Song: I can't give you anything but LOVE Me tender

And this is the only song I know (and love) by Suzanne Vega (thank you '80s movie soundtracks!)
