Doesn't help.0

Okay what about black coffee0

The only thing that helps with weight loss is burning more calories than you eat on a consistent basis. Teas will not help your body burn calories faster.
ETA: If you usually hydrate with drink high-calorie drinks and replace them with low-calorie drinks like tea and black coffee, it could help you achieve the calorie deficit needed for weight loss.0 -

Black coffee has very few calories, so it won't hurt your weight loss. But you lose weight by consuming fewer calories than you burn. There are no liquid shortcuts to this process.0 -
No effect on weight loss. At best, they may fill your stomach with liquid such that your appetite is slightly suppressed.0

You have to consume a huge amount of caffeine for it to do anything. Tea and coffee are delicious and can replace higher calories drinks but that is it.0

I drink mint green tea every day and no, I wouldn't say it specifically helps with weight loss, but that's just me. We are all different.
It is claimed it has health benefits but what these are exactly I never found out.0 -

Try it for myself0 -

But when it comes to claims of fact ("green tea will cause you to lose weight") it really isn't accurate to say we're all different. Either it is a fact that can be documented or it isn't.

How much weight have you lost so far ?0

The substances in green tea increase levels of hormones that tell fat cells to break down fat. This releases fat into the bloodstream and makes it available as energy - that is what ive just read.0

Look, if we can't trust green tea advertisements to give us the most accurate information about how green tea is the most important thing we can buy, who can we trust?0 -
@candygibbons26 I drink green tea, black tea, and coffee because I like it. Does nothing for weight loss except possibly if I have an extra 24 ounces I will skip a snack. They don't work. Why would you have to try it yourself to understand that bit?

Try it if it works or not
What evidence do you have that it WOULD work? Do you try everything under the sun to see if it works?
And how would you determine if it works? Are you going to leave your diet and activity the same and only add green tea? Or will you be making other adjustments at the same time?0 -

OP of this thread
green tea does not work to lose
check my haiku skillz0 -
If 20 people told you that lighting 6 cherry-scented candles placed in a circle in a counterclockwise direction while singing "The Lion Sleeps Tonight" in Mandarin Chinese didn't have a direct effect on weight loss, would you believe them, or would you need to "try it for yourself"?-1

We just see lots of posts from people refusing to believe that there are no shortcuts to weight loss.0 -
Well obviously I'm not just going too drink green tea and that's it just adding it too my diet too see if helps in anyway0

You need to stop looking for a quick fix and start figuring out how you're going to manage your calorie deficit if you want to lose weight. I've mentioned the "must read" stickied posts in your other threads. That's seriously a good place to start. Read them. Track your food. Stop trying to kickstart your body. You are not a motorcycle.0
