For just wearing to hold you in or are you using it to try to "reshape" your body and lose weight? Because if it's for "reshaping" and losing weight weight...............nah.

What is your goal? Brands are irrelevant if we don't know what your goal is.

Corsets won't make a whit of difference for your weight. To reduce your weight reduce how much you are eating.

Well, your goal is to reshape your body then. Weight has nothing to do with that. I remember when corsets were gladly left behind by the women's movement.

I learned something interesting about each responder in this thread. And about myself too.

Then perhaps a corset training website would a better place to ask than a fitness and exercise website.

Your softball team will now let you use their chapstick?

Are gays experts in the body corset world? Why just gays?

If you want to reshape your body then work on your body. Not the clothing you wear over your body. That stuff is only partly helpful until your date finds out it's all fake. Work on the real you.

I just wanted to say that I, for one, fully support the wearing of corsets.

Priscilla of the Dessert has the best corsets.

Actually it can be perfectly fine to wear corsets, source:I am a goth chick who wears corsets. In order to actually change your body shape, you'd have to do what is called tight lacing/waist training corset. You'd need a specially made one for you body, and wear it daily. If you stop wearing it, your body will end up going back. I wear corsets when I go out to goth nights and I have no problems with them.

They tried to leave bras behind too. I'm glad they caught back up.

I have no clue about reshaping your body, but Fredricks of Hollywood makes some rocking corsets just for sexiness value :)

Which means the body conforms to the shape of the corset, not the other way around. And when not worn, the body sets to whatever genetic shape you were given.
There's a difference when people endorse it for "shape" changing when the reality is that all one is doing is compressing their body inward.

It's related to bras. I love rabbit trails, especially on a thread like this.

It's not even really related to bras. Its not even necessarily a shared component since they weren't being told to put on bras but to cover up their pectoral area. They are challenging cultural mores, not talking about the desire to wear a bra or corset.

@brower47 , these girls are channeling an important woman's rights win in Ontario in 1996, which allows every woman in Ontario to go topless in public if she so desires.
