Call me boring, but I really want to try warm, brown sugar cinnamon Pop-Tarts (the frosted ones, of course) and Blue Bell Homemade Vanilla. But cookie dough ice cream would also work with the brown sugar cinnamon Pop-Tarts.
    I drooled a little.

I haven't tried it, but I wonder how Brown Sugar Cinnamon Pop-Tarts would taste with Blue Bell Moo-llennium Crunch.

I think I'll be the dissenting vote on this and say all those ideas sound nasty. Why would you ruin ice cream like that? I guess it's just because I'm not a fan of Pop Tarts. Sorry.

WHY HAVE I NOT THOUGHT OF THIS??? I have tried BOTH PB ones...and they are both awesome. Smores always takes me back to childhood, and the red velvet are off the chain. Now I need to do this...damn your eyes!!

    ^^ this is my favorite
I like to toast the pop tart, break it in quarters and set the pieces on top of a bowl.

Wow!!! It never occured to me to try this! I'll be going for the new peanut butter chocolate poptarts. Not sure which ice will go best with it though....I may have to try several lol.

I'm with you. Give me a huge scoop of ice cream in a sugar cone on a hot day when it's kind of melty and I am a happy girl.

Hey, thanks for the great suggestion on a good Pop-Tart ice cream combination. Your contribution to a thread in the recpies section, saying you don't like the recipe on the OP, is on topic, helpful, and appreciated!

    Thanks!

I mean, honestly. How do you end up in the Recipes forum, posting about how you don't like other people's ideas (ideas you probably haven't even tried)? Bored much?

So what do you do? Use the pop-tart and make a ice cream sandwhich, or crumble the pop-tart up and mix it with the ice cream??

   Spit out my water a little on this one!

I have NEVER tried this combination of ice cream and pop tarts. I don't eat pop tarts much, but I don't dislike them. Ice Cream? I ABSOLUTELY LOVE!

I would like to try the Vanilla Cupcake Poptart (i think there's one of those) with birthday cake ice cream! YAY!

    Edit: It's called Confetti cake!

I like to put the ice cream in a bowl and then I break the toasted pop tart into fourths just so I can arrange it like a top crust. Then I spoon through the pop tart to get a piece of it with some ice cream. Doing it this way, the pop tart stays warm for a while.

I do it as a sandwich, because everything is better as a sandwich.
