For weight loss ,its not necessary to eat veggies.
Nutrition is a whole different story. You asked about weight loss op, so as far as weight loss goes veggies are not needed ( for godnesss sakes, I've looked at diaries on here where the person drinks 900 calories of whipping cream a day lol !!! )
For me, I prefer personally to have a well balanced diet that hits my macros and micros .so I do include veggies in my day but it's certainly not required to lose weight!!
Holy cow! Are you serious??? I'd be starving if I tried such a thing. Lol. I'll be on the lookout for such diaries. I want a screenshot of it.

Yep. I really dislike boiled or steamed veggies. But oven baked anything makes them taste so much better. More crunch than sog.0 -
You should be aiming for at least 5 fruit or veg portions a day, not for weight loss (although vegetables will help you feel full for fewer calories) but for your general health. Some things are boring, but being a grown up means that sometimes you do things because you should. There are plenty of ways to get variety though, different veg, different cooking methods, seasoning, herbs and spices...0

At the least, there's one point that a person can lose weight without eating vegetables.
He actually did eat some canned veggies to avoid scurvy, if i recall.
OP If you're still a vegetarian but don't like eating vegetables anymore, you're going to have bigger problems.
He took a multivitamin.0 -

Yeah, but so are most veggies. Unless it's a leaf, stem, or root, it's probably (botanically) a fruit.
So...most veggies are fruits. Noted.
broccoli is a flower so it is really a conifer. So it is a pine tree. Kidding(sarcasm). It is a flower though.

I'm a Toys"R"Us kid. The first edible plant stuff I've bought in ages was a box of clementines the other day. I was so proud of myself!

The grown up thing is right, especially if you have kids, make sure they get a wide variety of fruit and veggies.
I've met some very picky adults, who have been that way since childhood because they were indulged by their parents who let them get away with it0 -

You can eat nothing but peanut M&M's and lose weight, or you can just eat nothing. They are both plausible weight lose scenarios.0 -

Make them peanut butter M&Ms, and you've got a deal.0 -

Peanut butter peanut M&M's is redundant imo.0 -
The only vegetable I'm not so fond of is celery, and the rest of them I love to bits. There are so many different kinds to try, and if you don't like them cooked - try them raw! Cook them different ways and see which turn out best.0

Coincidentally, I'm actually enjoying celery regularly for the first time pretty much ever because of... Tuna! So easy to chop up a stick and mix it with other items for this no heat meal (tuna salad/sandwich)

Ya, if I eat 100 grams of broccoli (34 calories) with my sandwich at lunch, I am fuller for much longer, and can skip or have a smaller afternoon snack.0 -

I think some context is needed here. I imagine someone who eats 900 calories of heavy cream is on a LCHF (low carb high fat) diet, and furthermore is a man who gets far more than 1200 calories to play with.
@GaleHawkins, I believe you have mentioned large amounts (by my standards) of cream.0 -
Try this: (really) cut a head of cabbage into I inch slices. Put them on a baking sheet. Brush both sides with a mixture of smashed garlic, salt, and olive oil. Roast at 400 degrees for 20 minutes, flip them over, and roast another 20 minutes. Tastes like garlic bread. I'll ask you what I asked my veggie hating friend: how do you mop up your free radicals?0

I can't eat most veggies and fruits ( none raw, carrots, squash, potatoes cook to death and pureed) for medical reasons and my weight is stable at bmi 20.5.0

They fill you up, taste amazing and are so good for you. Let me know if you want to tips or recipes on working with veg. Losing weight without including vegetables is extremely unhealthy and not recommended - you'd be starving yourself and depriving yourself of essential micronutrients, plus it's likely that you'd put all the weight back on because your habits haven't changed.Nope...They can be helpful in controlling hunger but they are not strictly neccessary.
Ironically for my own intestines to function I can't eat most veggies. They cause major pain and go through undigested for a lot of people with IBD ( Crohn's and ulcerative colitis) and I am forever on a low fibre diet plus lots of other foods are triggers too0
