I'd forgotten how much doing this with others helps!! I am trying to keep my weight loss at a reasonable pace because I know when I don't I end up binging and gaining it all back anyway. Let's do this!!

Thanks to MFP, this is my first time actually focusing on weight loss in almost 4 years. I went off track quite a few weeks from Sept - Dec and ended up one pound over my acceptable +/- 3 pound range I've been maintaining for 3.5 years. My lifetime goal is to never need to lose more than 5 pounds, so it's time to regroup. Losing 5 pounds will put me 1 pound less than my maintenance goal of 122. Redeveloping the habits that work for me over the month will set me up for maintenance success the remainder of the year!

I believe this is the last of the Christmas and New Year's weight. Great job to everyone who made progress this first week! My loss on the news feed actually says .8 lost because the last time I weighed was before Christmas and it was 129.2, so I gained 1.2 over the holidays and now I'm losing it (plus a bit more it seems). I am pleased with my progress so far as I'm a little over 3 pounds from goal! My strategy this week has been to literally eat back half of my exercise calories. I was going to not eat back any, but I thought I'd try half to see how that worked first.0 -
