960 days of doing it one day at a time right?!

Great job and good info. Thanks for sharing. You are right, it's no secret and it doesn't happen overnight.

We are all very proud of you. You are so right. I've been on my journey for 3 years now. I still have 20 lbs to go, but I started at 14. I took me 40 years to put it all on and 3 years to take off 117. I've learned a lot in my journey, some good and some bad, but just like you, I know patience is the key.

Well said both you you!!!! I used to be like that...thinking that it's going to take such andsuch amount of time to lose the weight and when it doesn't happen....give up!!! I decided to take the approach that it took me 5-6 years to gain all that weight, so if it takes me a year to do it...that is still only a fraction of the time it took to put it on....if it takes 3 years...it' still a fraction. The point is to take it one day at a time. I am just sick and tired of being sick and tired!!!! So I pray every day that I won't give up!!!!!
  • I love this post. Probably one of my favorite success stories I've read. Concise and effective!

I also am in the slooow boat to weight loss. Tiny deficits = me not starving or hating life. Still, I am seeing the weight come off.

I was fat after giving birth to my 6 kid
    11614737_93.jpg

    I am not anymore

    11614737_8128.jpg

    How did I do it?

Eat food that I like but not all the time or in huge quantities.

    pizza-1.jpg
    white_rice.jpg

Do exercise that I like as often as possible
    .
    weightliftinggirlfull1.jpg
    women-walking-to-lose-weight1.jpg

    What I didn’t do was

    Use cleanses

    Use pills

Have an all or nothing mentality

    Changes everything all at once

    Exercise for hours everyday.

    Starve

I didn’t let the fact that I am short, have PCOS, Narcolepsy, single mom, tired (see PCOS and Narco), don’t feel like it, be reasons not to at least try everyday.

Expect it all to happen in 6 weeks.

Between the first and second pics, there is 960 days…..it might not be that impressive but I still got there and will go even further.

The secret to my success is PATIENCE. I didn’t lose weight or even inches for almost 10 months…..but pics taken every month showed that things were happening.
This hot after 6 kids? I want to be like u when I grow up.
    You're my hero.
Now am gonna be patient and keep eating things I like not all the the in small quantities and keep exercising doing the exercises I love and best of all I won't STARVE myself again. Never again.
    Thanks a lot.

Love your attitude and your post.

But I have to ask, did you mean that you have six (6) children? Even more impressive!

You picked the right day to post this with all of the fat flush/diet pill/raspberry keytone threads that are flying about today. Hopefully they'll see this and start down the right path!

I don't think there's a soul out there that would look at your stomach and then say "pssh. Did you hear how long it took her? Weak."

You look FABULOUS - and I love that you know it . Hurray for good decisions, patience, common sense, lifting, and sexy abs! Go you!
