As a matter of fact, here's the lasagna slice I was referring to:
I refuse to accept a slice of that is any less than 500 calories.

Pizza without cheese is tomato pie. I love tomato pie. love, love, love it. I like pizza too. I think I log my NY style at 370 pretty much all the time. I only eat pizza maybe twice a month. The funny thing is that I make mine completely homemade from the crust to the sauce. I've even been known to make my own mozzarella. Conceivably, I could put all this in the recipe builder. I'm just lazy. And the recipe builder has been doing this thing where I put in all the ingredients and everything and when I save it, it says "cannot be saved." That's infuriating.0

Yoooo, I just went there last week! I didn't try the artichoke slice, but I logged the Margherita at 750 and the meatball slice at 650 because I tapped out on that one after 80% in. The Margherita was ridiculously cheesy goodness.0 -

Ha! See. I was wondering if I was over-doing it with that 800 cal. guess but seems like you are coming up with something similar. My roommate offered me hers and I was like, yes-I want this. But I can't have it now. So I cut it into two slices and froze it. Before I froze it I gobbled down two bites and think I logged like 200 just for the bites.0 -
i estimate my local nyc pizza slices at about 230 calories.0

For me it's not worth the guessing. I'd rather eat something else that i know the calorie count on.
Maybe when I get closer to goal weight I'll be able to enjoy it again. But for now it's better to avoid.
It has fat protein and carbs, what is there to avoid???
The amount of fat protein and carbs..... It's hard to determine exactly how many calories are in one slice and I'm trying to be as precise as possible.
I also love pizza and used to eat way more than I should have. For me personally, it's best to stay away from it.
you do realize EVERYTHING is an estimate, right?
Listen internet police.... I told you my personal opinion on pizza..... Would you tell a gambler that it's ok to go hang out in a casino..... Or an addict to hang out in a crack house?
I understand all that stuff and I CHOOSE to avoid pizza because it's a food that is both harder to calculate calories than other foods, AND was a food I used to gorge myself on.
If you don't agree then fine go eat all the pizza you desire.... I'm not telling you or anyone else to not eat pizza.
I'm sorry but comparing pizza to a gambling problem is absurd....0 -

If you took the time to actually read my posts you would see that I'm not talking about pizza specifically, I'm talking about trigger foods (of which pizza was a big one for me) that I used to abuse before I started to take control of my weight.
Its not my fault if you arnt intelligent enough to recognize the comparison between "avoiding foods that triggered binge eating" and "people with gambling problems avoiding places where gambling takes place".
Have an absurd day.

Exactly.... All I did was express my own personal opinion. Did I try to tell others not to eat pizza? Did I say pizza is terrible? Did I blame pizza for my weight? Did I say pizza is inherently unhealthy?
No to all of those.... Yet some people feel the need to nit pick. Normally I'd just ignore the baiters but I'm in an ornery mood tonight.
If the MFP admins ever did a survey asking how many people gave up making any posts because of the amount of trolls picking apart posts, they might actually decide to go after those people instead of the ones who react to the baiting.

Just recently I ordered pizza without the cheese on top. That really brought out the flavors of the toppings which I didn't expect at all. It was a little bit dry but flavorful in such a different way... Anyway I was happy to know I saved about 400 calories because it was a personal pizza after all.0
