    I know you are too new to know the can of worms you have opened here but this never ends well.

    The reason people are mean on the internet is because they have a large audience and they have no accountability.
    Also some things that are labeled as mean are actually just honest and people don't like straight shooters.

    I have found this site to be very useful in helping me lose weight. There are way more good than bad. There are groups you can join where everyone is like minded which will help you avoid mean people. I would recommend joining one of those.

    I noticed that too. I guess because there are alot of people who have been on mfp for awhile and sometimes they get annoyed by 1. people asking the same questions over and over and/or 2. When people perpetuate misinformation on forums.

    I'm not saying it's right but those are the biggest reasons.

    People are rude on the internet. Or better yet, people are rude, period.

    Part of being an adult is learning whose rudeness matters (i.e., their criticism is actually constructive) and whose rudeness is crap. If it's the latter, who cares? If it's the former, thicken your skin and enjoy the advice.

    It makes me very sad to read the comments if they do continue i will probably just go back to having a few people I will enjoy for support I do value others opinions and that is how we gauge how happy or serene someone is i will say I wish them love
