Howdy.
I had started out at my well-visit with my doctor last June saying I wanted to lose 20 pounds by my next well-visit this coming June. Well, I went in for a different reason a couple of weeks ago, and rather than having lost any weight, I gained 2 pounds.
So, I still have about 4 months before the scheduled well-visit, and 5 pounds a month is still reasonable. So, let's see if I can do this! It doesn't quite meet the criteria of your thread title (12 week weight loss), but if I get off to a good start, hopefully I'll be able to keep it going.

Goal Weight: 105-110lbs
I'm not expecting to drop that in 12 weeks, but I'd like to get it started on that downwards path!
Today is my day one. It's Monday, fine day for a day one.
What I'll be doing daily:
Logging EVERYTHING.
Hitting a minimum of 10K steps a day ( but really, that is only maintenance so I'll be trying for 15-20K )
Regular healthy snacks so I don't binge ( having them planned out the day before)
What I'll be doing weekly:
Getting in at least 3 30 mins workouts. ( this can be anything from dancing to music to doing a workout vid. does not include walking)
Weighing in.

Go girl!!! I am trying to start walking min of 10k steps a day bcoz i never did that. Hopefully i wl do that and logging in wat i eat or do. This keeps me track of what i do on daily basis. Thats a great start. I like the way u r planning things. Keep going0

Thats really nice!!! We are there to help each other to reach our goals.. Lets do it.. And we can do it no matter what. Track our foods and workouts and lets help others as well. I am basically vegetarian and that too Indian. So I normally eat food with oils. But i am going to change the way i eat food. Trying to be more healthier versions and here i dont get berry fruits so i will b eating watevr is available in my market.. Share ur food details as well so that v can help each other0

I would love to join!
I'm currently 180 lbs and looking to be 160 lbs. I work out but I have a bad habit of binge eating. Hopefully a group will help me stay on track!0 -
Hi Diane... Welcome to the group. Even i have that habit. But trying to eat healthy like avoiding chips and instead munching on carrots r cucumber. Instead of sodas drinking water or coconut water(if u crave for sweet drink) or sugarcane juice which are better than sodas.. Just trying new things and enjoying. If i really want to eat chocolates which is my main weekness.. Having just a small bit instead of having the whole chocolate. But anyways try one by one instead of doing all at a time which leads to binge eating again0

Hey! I'd love to be a part of the challenge. I have put healthy eating and exercise on the back burner for the last year and it's time for me to make some lifestyle changes! I have been putting it off using the excuse that I don't have time because I am working and studying...but I still manage to find time to watch tv. So, I need some accountability to help keep me focused!
Age: 37
Height: 5'7"

12 Week Goal Weight: 230 lbs

Looks like a good group coming together!
Monday was to be my day one and I made the best of it, crazy work day. Did well with food but exercise... When I finally got off work after 11pm, I went to Winco, got a carry basket, got my cat some food , then walked the store like a lost crazy lady zig zagging up and down all the isles looking for nothing - lol, gallon of filtered water in one hand - basket with cat food in the other, logged 7000 steps then went to the check out. Original plan was to leave work 830 or 9, go home n change, then go to the gym...que Sera Sera )0 -
Hahaha.... But u did really well. Try to have gud sleep too which is as important as exercise. Keep doing it...0
-
Jazzypdx...... I love your improvisation!!!! way to go girl!!0

Good job @jazzypdx ! I am really excited about this encouraging group!0

She is awesome and also her workouts. But u can change as per ur convinience. I tried eating healthy but i crave for chocolates so i had.. I need to change this habit0 -
Hello!
I would like to be part of the group, I'm having a hard time eating 1,200 colories a day I usually eat less. I'm drinking protein now since I hadn't eating much (I don't get hungry) I work out 5 times a week for 90 or 2 hours. I want to start weight lifting also.
Age: 22
Weight: 164
Goal: 1350 -
Hi @marinaidelin !!! Its nt about the calories but concentrate on the content you are eating.. Bcoz u should have sufficient protiens, fibers etc so that u wont get weak.. All the very best in ur journey.. Working out is grt not nly to reduce weight but also to be healthier you0

Hi everyone. I am new to this app. Trying to loose weight and be healthy. I get demotivated very soon. I try for 2 weeks and if don't see results I get upset and again Luton some weight.I would be really helpful of you all encourage and motivate. Want to reach my pre pregnancy weight.
Age:27
Weight: 180 (post pregnancy)
Goal weight: 150 (pre pregnancy)0 -
Hi! I'm pretty new myself. I am currently 21 female, 5'4 and 182lbs, I would like very much to get back to my "normal" weight of 132lbs. I am a college nursing student so I get super busy and it doesn't leave much time to think about taking care of myself. I'd really like to start this 12 week challenge so I can surprise myself in May (for my birthday)0
-
hi i'm new to this but I would love to lose 20lbs0
-
I am up for the challenge...3 weeks in and have lost 16 lbs! I am 5'10" and now weigh 224lbs. Would like to weigh 175lbs by July (for my Daughter's wedding). Currently working out 1.5 miles on treadmill, 5 miles on recumbent bike, and 30 minutes weight machines 4 times a week, and eating just under daily nutritional goals established by myfitnesspal (before exercise), and maintaining protein goals (which is challenging). I have eliminated all fried food, fast food, gravy-type sauces, and flour-based foods, and have replaced with fruits, vegetables, protein, dairy, and lean meats (turkey, chicken, tuna, shrimp). I have "let myself go" over the years, and seemed to have taken care of everyone elses needs instead of my own! This is something I can do for ME, and I am motivated by how great I feel already! Goals to continue would be to log in my exercise and food intake daily, continue with exercise program, and eat healthy!0

I would love to join! I have 42 lbs to go on my journey. I do not expect to lose that in 12 weeks. I would be happy with 1 pound a week. I'm today I finally hit the 10lbs lost mark after 11.5 weeks of going to the gym 5 days a week. I have never stuck with a program long enough to lose 10 lbs.0
