Just wondering if anyone has tried the dr oz rapid weight loss diet?
How did you find it? How much weight did you lose?
And has it stayed off long term?

Here's a tip: Anything that Dr. Oz endorses is crap and not worth your time.

Honl, you don't need some celebrity endorsed, arbitrary diet which was designed to make money for a quack. The more 'faddy' a diet is, the less likely you are to succeed with it, and keep the weight off long term. Pop your stats into MFP, follow them. Forget Dr Oz and all that other crap. He's a shill who's sold out.

What's sad is he's a very smart person and was a respected heart doctor. I have no idea why he started buying into the woo, but it's pretty much destroyed his scientific credibility.

I would love to agree with you but I love my Spoonk acupressure mat and I hear Dr Oz endorsed it at some point.

That said I would avoid any weight loss scheme endorsed by a TV star, including Oz.

Dr. Oz should be considered a criminal. He is scum of the highest order, and has completely sold out the oath he took to do no harm in return for the fast track to wealth and fame.

IF that's true, that's an absolutely ridiculous amount of weight to lose in that time and will include lean muscle mass along with fat. Not to mention looking like a deflated balloon. Fast doesn't necessarily mean good, and that does NOT sound good.

That charlatan was under Senate investigation for pedaling bull *kitten* to the public...ultimately they just handed him his *kitten* with a good dress down as they couldn't find anything technically illegal...but if our politicians find him sheisty, well...that's sayin' something.

Either you misheard or you were lied to.

There's no way anyone could lose 77 lbs in less than 2 months, short of some sort of medical emergency or procedure.

Maybe it was the octomom and it was the combined weight.

I know a guy who lost 50lbs in a single day! I mean, he was never the same after that car accident, but they did set him up with a nice wheelchair.

I run far, far away from anything that Dr. Oz endorses. How anyone can take him seriously is beyond me.

Is the daughter someone you have seen in real life before and after?

Really? He started buying into the woo because it makes him rich, rich, rich. He's nothing more than a prostitute who will sell his endorsements to anybody who will pay him enough money. He has zero scientific credibility and is nothing but a quack and a snake oil peddler.

I agree with the poster above who said that nobody loses 77 pounds in two months - unless they had limbs surgically removed or some grotesquely giant tumor excised. What you're hearing is woo, which is just like anything connected with Dr. Fraud, errrrr, Oz.

My husband lost 30 pounds while in ICU for 12 days, after losing part of his colon. He looked like he was ready to die...a skeleton with skin. Not a recommended weight loss program either.

I personally have learned a lot of great things from Dr. Oz, I haven't tried his rapid weight loss diet though.

People on MFP seem to hate him.

I think some of his advice is great.

I would take advice from my two-year-old before I'd take any advice from Dr. Oz.

The guy is a total quack.

I did it when I was still a bit naive about my health and fitness. It did work, but I was starving, and the weight came back within days of starting the diet. I wouldn't recommend it. Just follow MFP's suggested calories and eat wholesome, nutritious foods. I've been doing that for some time now and lost over 40 pounds and kept it off.

If Dr. Oz said that I should walk with the bottoms of my feet touching the ground, I'd seek independent verification. If he told me the sky was blue, I'd walk outside and look for myself to make sure it was true. If he said water was wet, I'd pour it over my head before I believed him.

That's how much I value anything Dr. Oz has to say. He's a quack and charlatan of the most extreme kind. He was supposedly once a very good cardiothoracic surgeon, but has sold his soul in the name of money and fame and bears no more credibility than a carnival barker peddling snake oil.

Even a stopped clock is right twice a day... Just because he occasionally tells the truth doesn't mean he should be forgiven for being a lying snake.
