I usually have the kids help with the laundry. I will throw it in before I head to work, finish it as I cook. We will have a laundry folding party before bed. lol They do the socks as well and put them away.

Yes, I am training my 14 year old how to do laundry, that has helped me out a ton. My 6 year old is learning to fold and put away her laundry.

Good morning all. I do my own laundry. If I didn't it would never get done in time for when I need it.

Yep, I love it. They are in charge of the dishwasher. I found a magnet (dirty/clean) so the 7 year old is in charge of it. She takes that crap so serious. lol She will yell at her brother...Hello....do you see the dirty is up? haha!!! I just observe them while they do it. Im sorta picky on how its loaded but they do a pretty good job. The 7 yr old started loading the dishwasher at 3. Gotta start them early or you can forget it.

My child is spoiled and I don't make him do chores. He's in charge of reading us "interesting" facts

My parents didn't have my bro do ANYTHING, so he went and found a wife to do it for him. My kids are pretty self sufficient, then can cook, clean, do laundry, fix minor car issues and house repairs.

haha long story of him working at the drugstore on the corner and he'd talk to me about superheros and told me when he works out he pretends to be Wolverine....had I seen videos of Hugh Jackman working out? We were buddies. Anyway he left the drugstore and now works at the hardware store

hello @cmDaffy my kids can do all the age appropriate chores...they just put up a fight

I'm lucky, they rarely argue... The oldest likes to try... He says his psych class told him argue was age appropriate! lol!

    haha @lauranorr
sadly I know no superheros so when he'd ask my fave I'd say Wonderwoman haha

I have a grocery store Nick but he is up near my parents' house. He always asks about my weight loss and will mark things down for me. He saw me looking at some Halloween decorations once and was like tell me what you want I'm marking them down soon I'll change the price on yours. Ahhhh Nick.

They dont fight so much anymore. They know what is expected and not having a phone or ipod touch is kinda a big deal. lol No electronics until I approve. It is harder when they are younger. My son enjoys cooking with me and will find recipes online for us to try. They will know how to cook and clean before they leave me. lol
