Wow, you really do have a set schedule. Don't like shrimp or crab? Cod? Sole?0
-
Mix it up...otherwise boredom will set in ..0
-
The problem for me is getting the carb and calorie amounts to fit...0
-
Low carb?0
-
yep. I try to keep carbs to 25% of my total calories0
-
Not super low but for a guy who ate mostly bread and sweets before its hard...0
-
Seafood like shrimp and crab is high in protein and nice on the carb limits, though? I had cocktail shrimp a few days ago and it was such a nice change.0
-
Shrimp is crazy high in cholesterol, something I've been told to avoid...0
-
But I'm sure it doesn't crazily increase LDL (vs. HDL).0
-
Stir fries.??0
-
I've been told it does... It's no biggie. I just have to take the time to do some planning and calculations... Hannah gave me her Turkey meatballs and sauce recipes so I'll give those a shot...0

Just a quick search but luckily it doesn't seem nearly as bad: doctor.ndtv.com/faq/ndtv/fid/14437/Can_I_have_shrimps_if_my_LDL_cholesterol_is_high.html
Or, "...the shrimp diet did in fact raise LDL cholesterol by about 7 percent compared to the low cholesterol diet. However, it also increased HDL (good cholesterol) by 12 percent and lowered triglycerides by 13 percent. This reveals that shrimp had a total positive effect on cholesterol because it improved both HDL and triglycerides a total of 25% with a net improvement of 18%. A 2015 study shows that low HDL levels are associated with total inflammation in relation to heart disease; therefore, a higher HDL is desirable. The egg diet came out looking a worse, bumping up LDL by 10 percent while raising HDL only about 8 percent."

Let me know how her recipe turns out! I'm too lazy to make things. Just give me plain turkey or chicken breast baked.0
-
Cool, thanks! I'll have a lot of research to do. I want to incorporate other proteins0
-
Do you find it hard to get in enough protein? It's so difficult for me.0
-
I'd eat only protein if I could..I love cooking a roast chicken and just snack on it for days ..0
-
I don't because I've eliminated most of my carbs... the protein portion goes up naturally as a consequence...0
-
If you want low cal protein get egg whites...0
-
I'm a fan of rotisserie chicken, for sure.
But I mean, if I tried to do ultra low-carb, I'd probably give up on life. It's hard for me to try to eat a lot of protein. I don't like handling/preparing it and don't like the taste of quite a few protein sources (partially explaining my on-and-off anemic freakishness).0 -
Guess what Im having for dinner?
Spicy wedges with sour cream and sweet chilli sauce ..0 -
Yeah I definitely miss the carbs... All of my favorites are heavily carb laden and I can't eat them anymore.0
